@sanjeevjaya
if you planing to get a notebook, then don't waste the money to buy a pocket pc. Most properbly it will end up in store room because of the size and weight. Two of my friend end up of using pocket pc because of too bulky. |

Yes, if u think of practical means, go get a laptop, but just ensure the size of the laptop is small enough to be considered convenient, and u do have to think about the weight plus the notebook bag coz u wont be carrying just a notebook nakedly, it will get concussions here and there......
For us who had already owned a laptop, having a PDA boasts the usability of both PDA and the laptop multiple times
YEAP, yapliren is right, i find myself using most of the palm these few days rather than my laptop, due to it's size, weight and too heavy of applications which i think is too much of my basic usage. For eg. i was in a taxi and i hope to finish my remainder documents b4 i get to the class and also send some emails, i certainly dun wan to carry a laptop and on it on my lap and then wait for it to 'beep...' waiting for my winXP to load, another reason is i find it very inconvenient to carry such heavy thing around and certainly it will occupy one of my hands contrastly my PDA fits my pocket well, also taking such bulky laptop out and have it on my lecture hall desk is too much..hehhe....the only usage of my laptop is to sync with my Palm
21, a medical student in KL ,running from hospital to uni back and forth and that's why i need a Palm, rather than on a laptop in front of my patient's bed

I tried ZboxZ... but I dunno what to do with it. Having probs... what are the files that I need to sync into my PDA??? And do I need to install any prgms to my PC? Need help
By the way, is it possible to type .doc documents and making Powerpoint with PDA? I know we can view them but can we actually do them?
I personally think that a laptop is better. I've been eyeing on the ibook (the slim white one) for quite sometime |

just sync ZboxZ.prc....forget about the rest if u wan simple stuff.... if u wan u can just play wif it. Read the doc there.
then make sure u keep winbox and winunbox properly.... these are needed to "box" files into palm databases to be synced into your palm
can't find mcfile in palmgear either.... mmm where did it go....
ok, found it here : http://www.jade.dti.ne.jp/~imazeki/palm/McFL/index-e.html
OK, who wants to ply with P800? Go to Midvalley and catch the SE roadshow there.... i was there today and i played wif the prototype... Damn cool! =)

hey gil! we are from the same uni! thanks again for the McFile
IMU Bukit Jalil, doing 5th semester now!howdy!
Just one question, after i box the files ,i noticed the gif files changed to .pdb, and do i beam the .pdb files like that to the T68i or do i have to unbox it in my palm (ermm..dunno how) and then only send it to T68i as .gif?
let's just put it this way
desktop --- very practical, high specs but no degree of mobility, affordable
laptop --- moderate specs with a moderate degree of mobility, and not so value for money for lighter and higher specs unit
palmtop --- low specs with very basic functions, not so value for money also purchasing greater specs palm but extremely versatile and convenient
scrreech:u dun have to install anything on ur pc, but in the instruction u just have to register some oe of the .dll files, then the other .pdb files from the zboxz just sync it to ur palm |
