I think you can still have that replaced free of charge. clear naman sa warranty eh... show that to them (the limited warranty clause)
you've got nothing to lose and you're in a more favorable position. |

@* Good afternoon to all of you, thanks for continous support from Smartnet.
@dun333, Any accessories of SE it has only 7 days of warranty and i dont think if the dealer gonna replaced your batt. I suggest you have to buy for a new one before it damage your unit. |

Thanks G_M, but this is really bad news for me! How come the SE manual states that accessories have one year warranties too? Tnx for the info sir. Tsk, tsk, tsk, aargh!

dun333, maybe you should invoke that the battery should be replaced because it is a manufacturer's defect which could pose as a potential danger to the user.
It's depreciation is not the cause of normal usage. Good batteries do not warp under normal conditions. |

@G_M hello sir. i had my brother's R600 upgraded yesterday there at Smartnet around 9am to have the phonebook bug fixed. Well, as great your service as always, i got the unit around 30 mins already upgraded. Thank yo for that. But apparently, coz i was really in a hurry, i just checked the phonebook bug if it's still there (which is not alraedy) and the standard stuff like the earpiece and mic. When i got home to give my brother his upgraded r600, he noticed that there is NOW an SMS ID bug and some of the names from the phonebook disappeared.
What can we do about this Sir? i cannot go there until maybe friday coz i have an appointment today and tomorrow.
i will look at the phone again for verification of this bug. thanks again Sir and more power. |

@dlreyes, sa palagay ko nga dpat lang! Kausapin ko nlang muna ang cs reps ng semicon kung ano ang maitutulong nila sa situation ko, then i'l base my next action from there. Do you know who i can write to (semicon/ se people in charge with this issues) in case i need to write them to present my case. Thank you, sir.

dun333, I suggest that you do the ff:
1. Have your phone and charger checked by Smartnet or Semicon to make sure that that these were not the reason for the warping of your phone. (If they were then then they should be replaced as well as the battery itself for it was the result of a faulty component which is covered by the warranty)
2. If there is nothing wrong with both phone and charger, then ask for an official explanation why the battery warped which in my opinion is not normal under any circumstance.
3. If Semicon does not agree to replace it then have them put their explanation on writing and I will help you draft a letter to SE Philippines.
4. Provided that there is substantial reason for the replacement of the battery, I would help you till you get what you want.

@dlreyes, wat more can i say... Thank you for showing ur support! It means a lot. I'll follow ur suggestions nd keep u posted with the developments. The first prblem i wud b facing, i guess, is my proximity with the service centers. I am now in davao city and, although der r smicon branches hir, dey only do level1 repairs and check up (i dont knw wat dis mean yet). I hope smartnet has a branch here! Tnx a lot, sir.

@dun333, Unfortunately, there is only one Smartnet and it is the one located in Makati. As far as I know, level 1 repairs pertain to minor and cosmetic repairs not requiring special tools nor soldering of any components (Diagnostics, software upgrades/reflashing, change of cover etc). Perhaps GM would be able to clarify this as their extension of being an Ericsson Service point only pertains to Levels 1 and 2 only.
Nevertheless, try to have it diagnosed by Semicon Davao and try to secure their explantion on paper. (this should be in the Semicon thread... once you have the results just send me a PM or post in the Semicon thread). |
