I've got a problem with trying to update my s700i.
I unlocked it with Davinci, but now when I try to flash the phone it won't power up when you just press the button once. However if you hold it down like normal it powers up, but this is no use as it won't let me flash it.....
It's really bugging me now as I want to update the firmware and am unable to do so now.....  |

hello,
setool can fix your problem. But first try "manual ignition"
When you get the message to power on phone, do not, instaed remove battery and replace quickly, then press power button.
Make sure battery is charged.
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Ok, so phone does not power on at all?
And you are unable to flash, make sure battery is charged and lower speed. I do not like davinci and i am not sure of its capabilities, always to use the best tool available
Also if phone is dead use gdfs file if all else fails.

No the phone still works perfectly, its just when the 'power on phone' message appears and you press the power button nothing happens. |

Yep, everything is working.
I think it may have been the Davinci software that caused the problem... as ever since the unlocking procedure I haven't even been able to read the CID of my s700. |

I tried SEUS on my S700i and the first time it failed, communication error with the phone. So I tried again and it worked but now I only have english as language on my phone. What can I do to fix this?

I hadnt noticed it at first but mine only has english as well. It doesnt bother me as I only speak english but I can imagine it could be annoying for some people.

ms duo pro support can never be implemented to s700 because that's a hardware issues. the algorithm used by normal ms can anly store 128mb, whereas pro sticks use a different algorithm enabling them to store more information |

People claimed that the P900 hardware couldnt take msd pro, but it has been proven that witht the P910 software it will take them, so who knows if the S700 will take them.

Sure is no problem to implement DUO pro support, no hardware differences. Maybe some Very good SEMC developer will do this
