thats a good idea. maybe i should invest in a cheapo one just temporarily until a nice one becomes available. those roxfit ones look nice. the major US brands haven't released anything and aren't showing any signs of releasing anything for the XZ. sony's being treated like the ginger step child.
which one did you get?

Hopefully something Im more familiar with will be out soon. But this should be good enough.
Im going to find one to put on the back too. I did that for my Z1 compact and Z3, that way I can keep it clean. And not have to cover up a beautiful phone with a case. |

I like that. I might scoop that up. I didnt see that at the time when I purchased. There was only a few on there and I wanted something here before my phone.
What you think about this one? This seems to be a newer listing as well. It seems like Ive heard of it before.

@icrk i was considering that one too, but went with the other one simply cause it was cheaper (by a tiny tiny bit) after shipping costs and will ship faster due to prime.
both should be about the same in quality and for that price i would expect them to pick up fingerprints and scratches within a month or less. i'm not expecting much.
@xperiajunkie - yes thanks for the pics. definitely doesn't do it justice i'm sure. need to snap those photos with an SLR and a softbox to really show it's beauty

Few questions:
1. I believe you can change the lockscreen wallpaper instead of this solid colour one? What about the clock?
2. There is no radio?
3. How about USB on the Go? Does File Commander or EsFileExplorer support it?
3. There is no preinstalled office, nor file manager?

The lockscreen wallpaper can be changed to any image you want and as for the clock there are few different options and I'd imagine you can dowload more. I've yet to try USB on the go and no there isn't a pre-installed file manager app but nothing a quick trip to the PlayStore wouldn't fix.

@doministry - several reviewers i saw said there is definitely no FM radio. not a big deal for me since i've never used it. you can always use applications to stream radio anyway, which is usually better than the quality you would get from an FM radio antenna.
@icrk - mine shipped as well, i think. it says dispatched, but i have not received a tracking number. have you? my screen protector should be here on friday.

Yes, it should be a 10 digit number. (mine started with a 7) When you view your order, at the bottom under Addition Comments. Tracking ID:
Keep me posted on that protector, I thinking about getting that one as well. It looks way better than the one it got.
Currently DHL just has shipment info received. Should see movement tonight.....Side note: Strangely though the headphones doesnt appear to come with same shipment.
Edit....Mine just was picked up. Scheduled delivery Monday Oct 10!!...YAY!!!!

ah thanks. found it. mine says estimated delivery is on Monday by 8pm. of course, i'm sure that could change depending on customs. how do you know they aren't in the same shipment? it says "1 piece" but that could just mean they're both packed into the same box.
i'll keep you posted on the screen protector. i don't think it'll be amazing, but it will do the job until one of the much nicer ones gets released.

Great! glad yours shipped. It clears customs pretty fast, i never had an issue...
Hmmm....about the headphones I suppose thats could be true too. When I looked at view order the headphone status still said process. I figured that would have had the same status as the phone. |

I broke my Z3+ yesterday and I was really tempted to put a XZ order in but I always get burnt when I adopt early. Spoke to a guy at Clove and they say the headphone bundle is a limited offer, Carphonewarehouse has it in stock at the same price but without the headphones. Anyway, got myself a Z3 Compact for less than £100 so I'm happy. I will definitely get the XZ once I get some quality real life reviews from you guys 
I still can't decide on the colour because the platinum one looks awesome too but lets see how scratch resistant this new fancy metal is. Also, I'm waiting for Android N to be available, I'm hoping for a proper refresh of the UI as well as some improvements to other aspects such as battery life or camera processing (if they need that of course). I was watching a Btekt video showing the XZ against the iPhone 7, 4K recording for 15 minutes caused the overheating message and drained a lot more battery than the iPhone 7. I've seen the iPhone 7 with 2GB RAM annihilating androids when it comes to games so I'm all for any software optimisation. |
