Hi all
Am back to square 1, my phone wasnt working properly after the update so I did another flash with SEUS which wiped my phone to new state
Spent all today re-flashing back to 037 with Davinci and re hacking my phone, now have vivaz screen again and currently doing a backup ready for re-installing the new update. wish me luck , dont want to do this a 3rd time, has cost me £10 so far
Someone mentioned the hacked phone going crazy after update, mine too , kept rebooting over and over.
I discovered if you booted the phone without the memory card and then put the card in later, the phone stopped rebooting.
Once again it is pc suite that is telling me I have an update waiting, that never happened under previous updates with SE.
I havent had to open SEUS or turn off the phone,pc suite is doing it for me

@bagatov
does the update make the satio more stable and quicker ?
Well Basithz, the first time I updated and chose to keep all settings (Hello0x2, Vivaz hack and a bunch of other stuff) my phone went crazy and kept rebooting all the time. So, I had to reinstall the update and wipe all settings - which basically restored everything as when the phone was new. I then restored my contacts, sms and images and a few apps - so I'm not sure if I can give a good answer to your question. I mean, sure my phone seems stable and snappy now, but it could also be because I no longer have anything installed basically
I'll try it out a bit further and we'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Hi,
what is it about the facebook and youtube ability to send it from media menu?
Is it using MMS ? Or is it possible to use the web connection?
cheers

how do i do that
1 - Open Rompatcher+ and enable the "Open4All" Patch
2 - Open X-Plore. Go to Menu -> Tools -> Configuration and enable Show Hidden Files, Show ROm drives, Show RAM Drives & Show System files/folders
3 - Select all files in Z: and click Menu -> Zip -> Copy to Zip
4 - Double click on E: and click OK
5 - Wait until completion (About 15 Minutes)
6 - Connect Phone to computer in Mass Storage Mode and upload Files.zip to megaupload
Also how did you update and still be able to hack your phone?

Yes that was what I meant. I have to reinstall the apps and hope that the settings still are there. It doesn't work that great since the apps installed on the memory card still take up space of being installed without the phone finding them - not sure if I will bother to backup the important stuff and try to wipe the memory card clean as well.
I'm really starting to regret updating the phone in the first place, but what can you do...

@raafat I have the system working with rompatcher. How do I do a z drive dump? Should I just copy z: to the memcard and zip it up?
did not read the previous post. will do a dump and post it.

Phew well I've done it, now have the update and the vivaz screen working as well as hellox/rompatcher.
Didnt realise that you could minimise the black media box on the vivaz homescreen .
Would be even better if we could remove the black box completely as it spoils part of the aquarium theme.
The update, although not the all singing and dancing upgrade that some people thought may happen. Is still an improvement and the phone is faster (for now). Its worth updating providing people dont make the mistake of re flashing and wiping the phone that I did
Thank you to those who advised on Davinci . never used them before and relieved that it worked. |

So, what's the conclusion? What should we avoid and what must we do to do the update without any of those problems?
