I really hope they keep that rubberized material on the battery cover of the black version. Ever since I had the k790, I've grown quite fond of that stuff. It gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. Oh, and it makes it easier to get a good grip on the phone. |

Cool comics!
Multi touch is overrated for zooming on the iPhone. Since I discovered 'double-tap to zoom' I haven't looked back.
Just what are you guys zooming in on in images anyway...?

Edit: Keep in mind that these photos are made without using flash and with very high ISO settings - that's why most of them is grainy and out of focus. The colour reproduction isn't the best also

I'm not Russian, but I do speak russian a bit. It's written Multiautofocus - I'd assume that it means that the camera is focusing on multiple points when the shutter button is pressed. You get this with every DSLR but unfortunately it doesn't mean the phone has multi-touch (@jjjajjj: I've just noticed that you have edited your post )

* Will it have multi-touch in future updates?
Xperia X10 has a capacitive screen. It does not support multi-touch functionality at launch, but is considered for the future.
* What’s a scratch-resistant screen?
Xperia X10 has mineral glass to prevent easy scratching and fingerprint coating.
* Is it based on OpenGL 1.1 or 2.0 for games and other stuff?
Xperia X10 supports Open GL 2.0.
* What is the size of the battery?
It is 1500mAh.
* How many colors does the screen support?
I noticed the confusion in the communction around this topic, but the correct number is 65,536.
* Will the X10 receive Android 2.0 update (for those who bought from the initial batches with Android 1.6) ?
The UX platform used for Xperia X10 will evolve to Android 2.0 over time.
* What would be the camera like?
We’ll try to post a tutorial video of the camera interface within short, but in short it’s quite similar to what’s seen in our earlier touch screen phones like Satio, X2, and Aino.
* When will this be available in the UK?
X10 will be available in selected markets during Q1 next year. We will get back with more details as to more exact timing and where.

strange how even SE execs and developers have different information!
according to http://developer.sonyericsson.com/community/thread/50008 it has 262K colors, but the marketing manager says 65K?
Some clarification is definitely needed.

What is going on inside SE?? 3 different types of TFT?? Still tesing them or what ?
I don't know how many colors and what kind of tft they will use... but the one used in these protos is deffinetly NOT 256k colors... (no vivid colors.. it is obvious.. Stop blaming me, the light, the photographer, the reflection, your pc screen ... )

Er no, it doesn't. "Considered for the future" is marketing speak, it most certainly is not the same as "confirmed" - in fact it really doesn't mean anything at all.
The only *confirmed* info in the above is that the X10 will *not* support multi-touch at launch.

...and note how he doesn't answer directly whether the X10 will get Android 2.0 upgrade, instead he says the UX platform will eventually evolve to Android 2.0. He is talking about the platform instead of saying the will get the update. That may be on their next phone(s) and not this one. He didn't say anything about this phone getting that sought after upgrade!
