If it doesn't bother you keep the phone as it is... It may not be the screen though... It may be a bad contact between the screen cable and motherboard.
how do you mean? yeah it doesnt really bother me. it doesnt really show when im using it. =) i just have a feeling that somehow my unit is defective... |

A problem like this may be caused due to bad contact on the display and motherboard connectors... But maybe a faulty display too..
Actually I had one software related problem like this with my K800. A green glitch appeared on the screen. I thought those were dead pixels, but it was the firmware causing that...

Hi guys.
Let me just say, i am very disappointed in this phone. The last 2 phones i had were the K750i and K800i and I must say this is not a vast improvement on them at all.
Firstly, the LED camera flash produces poor pics at night with all shots coming out in a yellow (outdoors and indoors). i have checked all the settings and no luck whatsoever.
Secondly, due to my provider being O2 in the UK, the GPS and Google Maps functionality does not work at all - I have never got a hold on any satellites in GPS or AGPS mode.Aprt from that i cannot complain however it isnt one step up from K800i (which actually took far better photos.
My question therefore is: do i need to install the new driver R3CA037 - will this rectify the above problems? My software version is currently R3BA035. if so, how do i get it?
Secondly, will the firmware automatically flash the phone so that it is de-branded?
Your advice would be much appreciated in this time of frustration as when i saw the spec it was everything I wanted and still would be if these 2 functions worked propoerly!! |

You can try updating the phone with SEUS - Sony Ericsson Update Service and get the latest firmware if you want to. But the flash, K800 is better for night shots imho... So the only improvements are the new interface (mainly music player - media and gps)...

My c702 is way better than my old k800, im also on 02uk the gps is slow but it gets there in the end, the led flash isnt as good as a xenon but my flash pics are fine in colour.
The overall cam quaily is way better than my k800 not sure what you mean by its worse.
Yes do update the firmware use the update service from www.sonyericsson.com |

Well dude actually I never had C702. I switched from K800 to P1, which I find it very good phone... It is smartphone though, not fair to compare it to K800 or C702.

this is a bug on R3BA035. all you need is update your firmware to R3CA037
Secondly, due to my provider being O2 in the UK, the GPS and Google Maps functionality does not work at all
may be that because your phone is branded, so that features is locked by your provider.
i'm using unbranded C702 and GPS works very well on R3CA037 |

If you need a decent phone with good features for picture taking, some music and java games, the phone is great. But it lacks advanced connectivity features like wifi for e.g. If you don't need that, you can buy it.

It's yellow because of the bug of that earlier F/W. Try to update.
