As far as HK is concerned is still on D version; tested yesterday because I had to revert yesterday from WG! because on the new firmware BB Connect is not working
It is true that the wiki is not updated; for example France is already on F, Italy not yet.
Besides that I hope they will also update soon the Blackberry Connect. All of the people that used BB connect enterprise are without a solution so far and this is quite annoying because I bought the P1 also because it was supposed to be blackberry enabled. |

I've spoken with SE over the past 2 weeks since I updated my P1. At the moment they've no idea when a BB update will be available.
It's a real pain in the bum. |

I will try to get more internal feedback from SE Italy tomorrow.
IMHO they should allow us through SEUE or other type of download at least to go back to the E version of the firmware.
It should not be too difficult to create a back-up of your firmware on your computer |

I'm wondering if I can downgrade to older firmware in case the new one is not quite OK for me.
Currently I'm on /92 CDA. I'll change it to WG-1 and upgrade to newest firmware. In case I want to downgrade, I change back to /92 and run SEUS again where I force to download the firmware again, that should be the older one. Because the recent one is not available for /92...
Am I right? What do you think? Is there a better way to downgrade in case something goes wrong with the new firmware? |

Usually you can at most install the same firmware again... don't know if you can go back to an older firmware. You couldn't with the Nokias and I don;t think it's possible with SE either... |

This worked always well with the P990 so it should work with the P1 either. |

Du kommer inte märka någon skillnad. Jag har uppdaterat min till World Generic 1 och jag har fortfarande alla svenska alternativ kvar. |

Hmmm, another nice thing I noticed is that the numbering of pictures taken is fixed now...
Before it reset the number to the amount of pics in the folder. So when I started taking pics without any previous pictures there it started at 1 again. Causing conflicts when I transfered them to my pc...
Now it simply resumes where it left, regardless of the content of the folder... Nice to see |

The operators within a certain CDA-area will do rigorous testing on the new firmware before they allow it to operate on their net.
say "/92", Sweden generic, all major swedish operators test it before they give their OK to SE to add a new firmware for this CDA, etc etc.
And if one of those major operators does not do this or does not like the new firmware, then the whole world having this CDA should suffer? I'm located in Hungary and I bought the phone from an official SE dealer. By the way there is no Hungarian CDA either, so what should all those like me do?
Changing the CDA is not officially supported by SE, is it? |

Guys,
I'm about to change to WG-1 and upgrade to R6F41 from R6E30 this weekend. What do you think, shall I go for it, or stay on R6E30. I'm reading some issues with the new FW here and I can't make a decission now. Please help me a bit.
Am I gaining more with the new FW than I loose if I stay? That's the question...
What I could summarize up to know is that with the new FW I shall have
- faster operation,
- improved camera interface
- corrected camera picture numbering
but
- Bluetooth remains the same (I'm having problems with it while syncing to my PC)
- I loose hungarian language support in the menu (not important) and in the T9 dictionary (could be an issue) - no language packs available at the moment for newest FW
- more software crashes than with current FW
Can you extend my list?
Thanks
