More RAM. Then why don't throw more "realistic" options to the wish list:

- GPS
- 5MP camera
- Bigger QWERTY keyboard

SE is already working on it

That will be one major firmware upgrade! I can already hear the dissappointed voices: "SE lied when they promised that the new firmware would make the keyboard bigger"...

May be SE is talking about the soft keys - probably like iPhone has. Let you guys daydream.

I'll also settle if they come up with a good functional RDS in the FM radio. The current one does not work and is ridiculous compared to K750.
I put this in the wiki #96, it would help if you can confirm as SE seems to be looking there.

P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

I was joking. Just making fun of people wishing for things that would be impossible to get through firmware updates, i.e. requiring hardware changes: GPS, bigger QWERTY keyboard, more megapixels from the camera, etc.

Okay guys, this bug is confirmed now!

the P990 DO hang/stop responding during midnight time, and as a result, alarm and vibration and other various options simply stop responding and a restart is needed!

another bug is, the auto capitalization in text writing does'nt work.

Can anyone please post those on wiki? I dont know how to edit a wiki page

cheers!

Dude, I don't think it's a bug at all, it's a reflash you need, nobody else is having the problem you're having. I think clogging up wiki with reflash problems would lessen the chances of real bugs being addressed to as there would be too many issues for SE to solve in a month's odd time.

I've always been experiencing this problem ever since I got my phone!

For three firmwares, each I reflash 2 times, including the last one I reflashed my phone with R6 three times and still having the same problem.

Also, I got a pm message of someone who is EXACTLY experiencing the same thing!

So maybe its not reflashing i think..

but i also do not experience it...to be a bug, it has to be experienced in all or at least most phones (with same firmware version)

@ahmed-sama
I used to think there was a bug with the auto-capitalization too. It just so happens that you have to type reaaaaally slow for it to work. Yeah, I know it sucks but it actually works. You can try it yourself, make sure you type at snail-like pace where you'd like the auto-cap to be though, LOL

although this may be annoying for some, I believe that the auto-cap feature has been intentionally programmed this way in order to avoid unwanted uppercase letters in the middle of a sentence, where other 'dot+spaces' may exist... [addsig]

Then why on earth did they include the function in the first place when it doesn't work at all?

I am one of the people who type fast on the qwerty, and such a thing is untolerable to me, to type slower JUST to get auto-cap working!!

I type very, very fast and auto caps works ok in my P990. Also, I dont listen radio often but whenever I do it works ok. Alarm also works just fine always.

I just downloaded the latest white paper for the P990.

In the camera section, the front camera, not the back one, it says :

"QCIF (176x144 pixels) and SQCIF (128x96) - applicable only for video recording and telephony, not for still images."

Am not actually developing a full understanding of this sentence, can someone clarify it please? Does it mean that this camera will finally support photo snapping NOT on "(176x144 pixels) and SQCIF (128x96)" ??

If not, then what does it actually mean?

not true.

it works actually, but you must insert a space after full stop and pause half a second after the space, that's all.
