k800i has PAN - personal area networking.
n73 DOES NOT HAVE IT!
You can use PAN to connect your phone to your home network and share your broadband connection. (that means 'free' unlimited IM for me on my mobile at home!!)
I've been swayed by the thought of getting a nokia several times tho i'm a diehard SE fan. Tough choice between n73 and k800 tho. SE must come out with an OS phone soon! (other than the P and M series)

Here is a quote that made me SERIOUSLY consider wishing for a major improvement of future SE phones.

| Dedicated SEND/END keys. Sony Ericsson users (like myself) often take this feature for granted. It's nice to be able to toggle back and forth between calls or end a call without having to backpedal to the main phone screen. Also handy for ending a call while in the middle of an application. On SE, you have to literally exit your application and go to the main menu to end a call...it's kinda ridiculous if you ask me. |

And yet there is less of a chance of accidentally hanging up on an incoming call on 's.
If you truly wish to exit and app while in the midst of a phone call, just activate the activity menu.
I've only ever heard users of nokia's complaining about their handsets (there are a lot here) so I'm quite happy with my decision, especially considering I'm an ex Nokia user.

I think you've nailed it here.
The XBox and PS are both games consoles, competing for the same market. Only Nintendo has tended to go for a different market (less emphasis on raw power but more emphasis on game quality/fun), with some considerable success, I might add.
The K800 isn't a smartphone, but does have all the key apps 'out of the box' and a better camera. However, you won't be running TomTom NAVIGATOR 6 on it or watching Slingbox (although you can enjoy web browsing, email, RSS etc).
The N73 IS a smartphone and has massive scope for expansion and customisation, but the sensor is weaker and will never match the K800i quality even if it had a million firmware updates.
Different phones for different audiences.
Personally, having just had the N95 in for a preview (details in the next issue of our mag!), I can safely say that I would give up both handsets for possibly the best phone I've ever used. SE need to match, or beat, this phone and I hope they're going to have something amazing to show at 3GSM!

........what does that mean? is that mean that you are in the middle of application, someone call, you pick up, then you have to go back to the main menu to end the call? thats hillarious.. i thought when you make a call, then your screen actually is no longer showing application, so you can end your call straight away, then you simply go back to the application?
i don't get it.. why it is must be seriously taken into consideration? why not instead, improving the video player? i mean, K800 has a great music player but the video player sux.. it can only play video and that's it!! shouldn't they combine it with the music player and able to sort the player, fast forward, equalizer and so on.. that would be a better improvement as compare to the mentioned above...which i dun even know what the hell is that person talking about.. |
