If you are from Sweden and if you have a SE W810i: What is the firmware-version of your phone?
The firmware-version of my phone is R4CE012.

@Stajlerboy: Is your mobile phone unbranded and unlocked? From what firmware-version did you upgrade? And what is your CDA identifier?
EDIT 2006-07-31:
I have now successfully upgraded the firmware-version in my SE W810i via SEUS from R4CE012 to R4DB005.

I have tried a few times now to use the over air update service with my phone but it just will not work. I only receive the message "Uppdateringen av programvaran misslyckades. Status skickad till servern." (Which means something like "Update failed. Status sent to server.")
Do anyone know what is wrong? Are the chances better with the update software for Windows?
I am in Sweden. My old software is R4CE012. Network Tele2Comviq.

Ok. Got it with the Windows Update Service.
Got R4DB005 in my phone now.
By the way, does anyone know if any update will give support for A2DP? I really want some sexy wireless stereo headphones.

I had (and probably still have) exactly the same problem. However, the update via SEUS and the Windows application fixed the problem.
I have recently and successfully upgraded from R4CE012 to R4DB005.

Ok, this is kinda weird... went into the service menu of my phone and it lists the firmware as being R4CK003... might as well list the details.

now my phone will not update the firmware through SEUS or FOTA, so... why is it saying R4DB005 in customization, when the firmware on it is obviously R4CK003, is that even possible? (it must be)
Oh yeah, best part is I think flash lite is disabled since my themes don't seem to change the menu icons, and i know AMR is disabled.
Bought a wotanserver log account about a half hour ago, still waitin for the login!!

I just bought the w810i from Telia (using Telia) and I just love it. I have R4CE012 and wonder what the difference is if I upgrade to R4DB005?
Question: Have anyone noticed that the siglan goes up and down lot? Maybe it is just my appartment. Or meybe som bug in the firmware I have? I have noticed that the phone is sensitive, it shows every little change in signal.

I saw a list somewhere about some minor cosmetic changes like a few changed icons etc. The main difference i have noticed after one days use is that when browsing video files you actually see a snapshot of the video file instead of just the file name (which is usually something usefulo like MOV00003).
I am sure there is a lot more to it, like technical changes that might not be visible to the end user. I guess there is two opinions out there, either "If it is not broken, dont fix it" or the "The last software is alwasy the best."

Do you all sometimes have some noise when listening to music. I have read that it is a common problem. I am one of thoose that hear all. I'm sure this can be solved in a firmware update.

I have noticed that my W810i sometimes drops the signal from like 4-5 to 1-2 just bacause I pick it up from the table. But after 5 sex i goes up to 4-5 again. If i redo the procedure it does not happen. Just sometimes. Maybe the phone that is bad, or can it be because of the instable signal that I know I have in my appartment? It is just the thing that it does not always happen, meybe that says that it is the phone? |

The reception could be stronger and weaker time to time, thatswhy the bars are moving. I might be wrong, but maybe the radio apart has a bug or u need a fw upgrade.
