I've experienced (very frequent) crashes with my Sony MagicGate 64mb card that came with the phone (even after I formatted it). After i took it out, it hasn't crashed at all...not got around to using another memory card yet. Not sure what the problem is...im using R1L. |

Everytime I copy a file on my external memory card . . . which later cannot be OPENED or Viewed . . . I automatically DELETE that file . . . to be sure, it might have a NEGATIVE effect on the card !

Hi guys,
first, may I say what a god-send this site is! Most of my problems/queries have been sorted just by reading these forums.
But now I have a small problem that I hope you can help me with......
I have a K750 and recently bought a Sony 2gb memory card for it. The phone tells me that it has a 2gb card in it but if I put more than 1gb of music on the card, it does not see it! Also, if I take a photo with nearly 1gb of memory used it becomes corrupted or doesn't even save at all!!
So, basically, does this phone support cards above 2gb and if not is there anything I could do to the firmware etc.
Cheers. |

I'm not sure what firmware it is, as I don't know how to find it!! (Doh!)
Also, I did format the card in the phone.
Thanks. |

Thanks for the advice, I've just updated software via SEUS and my firmware is- R1CAO21.
I've also removed and replaced the card ( and re-formatted!)
Its still the same though!!
An 'expert'(?) at CPW told me that the first k750's could not recognise cards above 1gb, I guess mine must be one of these!!
Does that make any sense to you guys? |

FYI, an excerpt from the K750i faq at Sony Ericsson (Page url below): http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=il&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1_1_4_1_1&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10242&topicID=29#2857

The maximum capacity Memory Stick Duo™ supported by the phone is 2 GB. |

The above is accurate up to today (2006_11_07), and may be changed in future firmware releases.
This does not necessarily mean that 4GB cards can't be used, only that they are not officially supported by SE yet.
I, myself, am using a k750i and considering buying a 4 GB card.
Has anyone had any experience with it?
Thanks in advance.
