it's very bad to hear, that the back cover is crappy...
i thought that it would be better than the t610's cover...
i'm still using my t610, dropped it over 100 times- and still nothing

perhaps my standards are lower or perhaps I don't have high expectations but I find the K750 build quality better than that of the K700 and am perfectly happy with it. The phone feels solid in my hand and after 2 weeks solid use there is no creaking as there was with the K700
comparing the quality to my other phones from other manufacturers I think it compares quite well and this is not one issue I will be complaining about

Forgot to say, someone earlier mentioned that they didn't think the K750i camera was any better than a 0.3mp Motorola cam.
I think you misread the post mate- on the phone's screen the pics on the k750 and moto don't look that much different- probably cos motos screens are better so it probably makes it look better than it actually is. There is a big difference when you see the camera pics on the computer though |

I am quite happy with the texting on this phone though- its fairly quick and cuts down on the number of steps needed to send it.
Phonebook is really fast as well- massive improvement over previous SEs. Im not sure about the phone compared to k700 though (as its buttons were too small for my sausage fingers)- but its response to everything is snappy- no lagging.
I like the joystick as well- the best once since T68i.
I reckon im liking it the more i use it |

Why won't they make the back cover as rigid and sturdy as t 610's quality? That was a sturdy manufacture. My p 910's back cover squeeks quite s bit after 6 months but i dont find it problematic.I'll try a k 750 next week to c what is this fuss about.

Theres nothing wrong with the backcover.
Its the slideable lenscover that can creak very litle when you apply pressure to it.
The T610 doesnt have a slideable lenscover, so thats not really comparable.

Feel free to discount my words, you'll find out why at the end...
I think the phone is great. The camera quality fantastic, menu system is cool, battery life is exceptional.. creeking? What creeking? I spent a while prodding the back and yea there is a bit of flex, but thats a good thing imo - it would break easier if there was no flex.
Ive only experienced one small bug with the software - good old shortcut reset after turning the phone off. Apart from that no crashes, or slow down or strange lines that ive noticed.
Imo most of the things people have pointed out are really minor. And i read a lot of the software stuff can be upgraded somehow. You guys are looking for real perfection, i admire it, but you'll never get it
Having said all that I did upgrade from a nokia 3210, and that didnt bounce off the floor, just broke into all its parts ready to be put back together. |

I don't see what all the fuss is about, my K750 feels as sturdy and well made as any phone I've used - if you push the lens cover inwards there is a slight creaking noise, but why would you want to push it inwards anyway? I only did it to try and see if I could get mine to make a creaking noise to see what people were moaning about...

to me the build quality is the most important thing on a phone besides reception. If the k750 really is this bad i'm going to be really upset.Usually Sony Ericsson is great with build quality. The higher end Motorolas are great too..My v600 and now my v3 are rock solid. Not one creak..I love it..Even the new nokias have been pretty good lately. My 7610 is great, and so is my 6600, and 3120. I was really dissapointed with the s710a build quality too.The plastics they used were really cheap, whenever i felt it it seemed like an optical allusion because from far away it looks liek it is metal kind of. The best of all for build quality is samsung, they have got it down perfectly, they use the best plastics and it seems like is metal but its not.WHAT IS HAPPENING TO SE LATELY!!!I love their phones but it always seems like each phone has one major downpoint. For example:t68i reception, t610 menu speed, t630 crap camera, k700 no memory slot, s710 slow menu, k750 bad build quality.THe way Nokia has been introducing phones lately it seems like they are going to put SE into bankrupcy, come on SE i know you're better than this |

@icedog445
S710a Slow menus? Hmmm... This is fixed by moving your biggest files to the memory card. On the materials, mine is as sturdy as my T610.
Pretty solid if you ask me. My last Blokia was a 3310, now that was a creaker! Hence why I became a SE fan and left Blokia forever.
SE makes great phones and we all have our different priorities when it comes to expectations. With that said.... I doubt we would all be on the same page in terms of expectations.
All in all, SE makes great phones and listens to it's customer base.
Creak or no creak, the underlying question is.... Overall performance.

6600 god buildquality and the s710 bad? Are you drunk? Or just a simpel SE hater? The build quality of the S700/710 is excellent and that you can't say of The N6600 wich is extremly plasticky and creaky, as i had both at the same time the comparison was rather easy.
And when it comes to the K750 it may not be as good as the S700 but not many handsets are, but there isn't many candybars outthere that is better built, all the talk here that it's crappy built is just pure bullshit!!

Just fold a piece of paper and use some scotch tape toes the cover and you get she off all the creaking. I did, and it works great. This is what you have to live with when you buy a phone the first weeks after it is released.

How many more times does it need to be said. The T610 did not have better build quality over the K750i - the reason it didnt creak much was because it had an aluminium coated case.
If SE were to make a limited edition K750i in an aluminium case, it wouldnt creak either.
The only way IMO you could have a phone with a plastic case that does not creak would be a complete G-Shock style case (where the case has no joins, except the metal back cover, like Casio use for their G-Shock watch range).
This creaking subject is severly exaggerated and inflamed to be a major problem, when really its something you should expect from any plastic case.
