@masseur, just because pocket pc has more apps doesnt mean that theyre all quality ones. This same arguement was made by Palm when ppcs offered media features. Then Palm users defected 2 ppc; realizing that more apps usually means 2 much duplication. Same now could be said 4 ppc.

I prefer symbian, a fone 1st. Smartphone 2nd. Specs of p1000 is just in line 2 compete with htc's universal. Still no edge. How can they expect 2 sell a device with 3q device worldwide with no edge for 1qtr of the world' |

I have learn't that only Zoe, Ellen and Eva will be announced on 13th June. Sakura and Hermione will not be announced until September - unfortunately . The phone will have a full qwerty keyboard under the screen and a keypad that flips over on top. I would imagine it would be sort of like a P910 but split in half with a hinge down the left side so it opens like a book. Sounds very interesting.

And just how did you learnt this? What's your source? Club Sony Ericsson posted a concept phone with a QWERTY keyboard that resembled a PXXX but nothing official is confirmed. |

Have been watching this post with interest. Just so that I understand it correctly the replacement will only have 3G, 3mp camera, wlan/wifi different to the P910i or is it that's the only thing members have been able to find out.

I believe that Symbian has around 60% market share, that is twice what microsoft have.

Symbian's market share *GREW* by around 10% this year...

There is plenty of Software for Symbian, that is Series 60, unfortunately not too much software for UIQ.

 Why Symbian became fragmented...?

Thanks Nokia, and inconsistency of Symbian - "we are not in the GUI business... we are in the GUI business.. U turns".

Because of lack of UIQ software, my next phone will probably be a Series 60 that has stylus support ( Series 90 is being merged into Series 60).

Then look at P930 (only chinese version for now).I think the idea is great. On the other hand the rumored P1000 does not actually look like a pxx series nor uses the same OS, if the rumors are right ! So why should it be called a P-cell then ? Marketing I guess :-( I am waiting for a wifi cell right now. I hope SE will beat Nokia with the release date.I remember sadly SE lost badly with the P800/7650 release first date.I waited for the P but . . .

Series 60 has not been seen any stylus yet. I doubt it will support any, because the screen is usually pretty small.
