Anyone want to buy a 3 week old v800? You guys have frightened me in to purchasing a z800 unbranded. I get a 33% discount on SE phones anyway, so my v800 Vodafone branded is up for sale. If you are interested PM me.

standalone not needed, nothing needed but good battery, see if you can borrow it from someone.

Cut the cable near the connector.
Place the red cable in the positive pole, and the black cable the negative pole. To fix with an adhesive tape.
Giving up charging 3 hours.

Did you actually cut your power supply cable for this demonstration?
Nice idea!!!
And on the other issues: the bluetooth cracks up, disconnects, etc. now almost every time after a call. Hope there will be soon another updated R...whatever ! |

ok. charged the battery good. thanks.
tried to flash again with TMS. did a complete with the latest V800->Z800 TMS firmware.
TMS said flash OK.
when I try to turn on the phone, still only the flash light up. phone "dead"
and TMS took some more credits...

Since you say it is a REAL 36, why didn't you try the REAL Z800i files then?
Maybe they would work.... never know |

Phone still ok, but wtf...
Here`s the deal. Just purchased a real Z800i from Hong Kong. The phone comes with R1Y005 (Hong Kong) software...without World Mate??..Strange? I had that on my previously flashed V800...
Anyways. Guess I need R1Y005 firm and language files, but TMS have removed those files and replaced them with these;
so any solutions would be appriciated.

won't work. different colours for the files. I need red flash files. TMS's Z800 files is brown.
what I need is a CID36 erom file. where to find? |

hi, try master resetting it... i had problem w/ my v8/z8 r1y before, after master resetting it, it went ok now.
xtreme... want to try w/ davinciteam?
accdg to simsphil he was able to flash his v8... pm him.. ask for instructions.
