I had the same problem too. My phone just kept on searching forever.
I just contacted them and they're having me send my phone in. This sucks!!!

I'm trying to find a pattern here, to see if it's not risky to upgrade:
- Did anyone already upgraded and the upgrade went fine?
- The phones with problems are all p910a? (notice the A)

you can't. what I mean is that the phone will not find any carriers and connect. It won't even let me search for a carrier in the control panel. it just beeps and does nothing. i'm on the phone with usa customer service and they are having me send the phone in to a service center here in North Carolina. Now I'm stuck with a backup nokia for a week or 2. ugh. |

Yep, sending mine in to N.C as well.
And it's not just the A's, someone else with an A reports his phone as working. But you could try updating and let us know the outcome. |

First time I buy a phone made by anyone but Nokia and this is what happens. So much for sony ericsson being so great. I'm highly disappointed. |

seems like it's the wrong organizer they put out for the firmware. Thisi s bogus. Anyone else notice when it said flash complete it stops around 85-86% ?

I am only waiting for the new language packages for my phone (dutch). It seems that SE has not developed this yet.

Yeah, the website says the latest organiser version is R5A02, but my, now non-working, P910a is saying it's R5B01. This is starting to just sound like a major screwup. I'd like a word with whoever's responsible.  |

Updating my P910i went totally fine, too.
But I had some problems to restore. I failed to restore to the latest backup, that I did just before the update. The restore process hanged.
With a backup I did a week ago, it was no problem to restore, but I had to do it twice. The first time did not all of my applications restore. Second try everything was restored, but I had to delete eZiTap and reinstall, otherwise I could not use the virtual keyboard.
Now everything is back to normal.
Summary: Something "weird" with the update? |

Someone else with a P910A updated and it worked fine.
Bottom line is anyone that feels they want to give it a shot should go ahead. I'd be happy to give a walk through of the procedure for those who need it. |

Thanks, but all the same I think there is something strange about this update and my feeling is that we should all wait a week or so til we hear more about what is potentially wrong and if it has been fixed.

Yes it did worked fine (still) but the only thing that bothers me that there is no language pack available for organizer version R5B01
