Should have my 9500 by tuesday, does anyone use theirs to fax? I remember back in 1998 when l got my 9000i on orange, you had your cell number for calls and data and an answerfax number for faxes. This was your own personal fax number. Does the 9500 require a second number to send and receive faxes or can it be done through your regular calls number?

@JohnM: I am not certain about this. I recently attempted to use mine to send a fax but didn't quite get it to work. The SIM I used (an alternative line from another network) also has a dedicated fax number and another for data.
I haven't been able to find an option for putting in these fax/data numbers in the Messaging settings menu in control panel.

Thanks for your reply AYA, l suspect it will be the same as it was on my 9000i whereby it was necessary to have a sim with 2 lines, one for fax, the other for voice/data.

Which is what beats me. The SIM I attempted the fax with has 3 lines: 1 for voice, the 2nd for fax, and the 3rd for data.
Maybe I missed something. Was there aany special menu for putting in the fax number on your old 9000? Will appreciate some hints, so I can give it another try.

@AYA - cant find any settings for fax number on my 9000i, l'm guessing it depends on the sim you use, l'll have a play around and see what l can do.

Well, tried to fax with my t-mobile sim and an o2 sim and it didn't work, it just said service not supported so guess it is network and sim dependant.
