I had this problem once when i tried to download a 500 kb game file from airtel's wap site

How did you solve it  . . . What happened . . What was the error message . . . For me its now only once . . . But always . . . . Till now not crossed 310 kb with my cell . . . My friends are crossing . . . Not me

Change one thing first of all- the proxy port number is 9401 and NOT 9410 as you state in your posts above. Now try downloading. Do not change this port number back if you're still unable to download heavier files- the port number is specified by Hutch.
If that doesn't help, change the internet mode to HTML instead of WAP. If things don't work, change it back to WAP and start disturbing the Customer Care folks. Also email them at care@hutchindia.com, giving your problem in detail and your mobile number.

Yes . . I have tried changing to http . . But my built in browser could not connect . . Changed the proxy number too . . Will try with the http thing when i have a good connection speed too if you want . . . But right now nothing seems to be working for me |

Ya . . . . I can understand if the downloading fails in between as some problem with the server . . . But what if the downloading does not even start for larger files . . I.e files more than 310 kb |

have some one faced this problem of mine with a rs 99 connection ...or is it the limitation of rs 99..... i contacted the hutch dept. they said that it might be the limitation of the mobile...is it true?....is my phone capable of downloading files only up to 310kb........guys please put some clues............. |

I may be a bit incoherent here, but hope I drive my point through.
I think you said somewhere that friends did not have any problem. Do one thing- put your friend's SIM in your phone and check. This will check two things- that your phone is working alright or it is the network at fault.
Also, download from your number what your friends have downloaded, both from your own number and their SIM in your phone. This will check that the links you were downloading worked or not.

If you are able to download what your friends do easily and without problems using your own number, then this means that the links you use are faulty. If you are able to download what friends do and all thing else using their number, then this means that THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE PHONE but with your subscription- start disturbing and emailing. Hope you're understanding what I'm wanting you to do...

No . . Not yet . . I will go through all . . . . I am more of a gamer . . . So no idea about other stuffs . . Play games . . Download themes . . Make calls . . Sms . . I am happy . . . Just waiting for the launch of k750i . . . I wanna buy it . . . . I love sony . . My first cell was motorola . . Used for 6 to 8 months . . . Then nokia . . One model . . Used for a week . . Found very difficult with the key system . . . And menus . . Did not like it as a whole . . . Then t610 . . Now k700i . . |
