Yeah it means the power button on the phone.
Holding down the left nav key should start the actual update.

If you don't install the flash drivers and you do attach your phone to the pc with the USB cable it'll connect 'as usual' through Mobile Phone Monitor and won't let you flash.
I don;t really understand why you're asking this... you need the flash drivers for the PC to know hwo to treat the USB cable

basically the phone is all installed for transferring files to and from the memory stick. (mobile phone manager doesnt detect it though, should it??)
I went to use SEUS and didn't have the SE flash drivers needed. When i had to turn on the phone with < held down, windows xp detected a flash device, but without the SE drivers windows just installed it as a flash device that i cant seem to locate and update with the correct SE drivers.
Can anyone help??

have you considered doing the steps describes on their site (with installing flash drivers instead of XP ones) and just starting from scratch?

step 1:
download flash drivers!
Then go to update service, check all requirements have been met, connect the phone and follow the 'wizard' through.

Is reading english not your strong point?
If you read either of my earlier posts you would see that i have gone through the update process but windows xp installed the phone as a flash device using its own drivers. |

no need to become rude mate
I suggested you forget about xp drivers and re-install the ones. Reason for this suggestion is that they work. They've worked for me and many others. I've not come across a single instance of anybody having succesfully used the XP drivers.
If you choose not to do so there really is very little help I or anybody can offer you so good day to you and happy flashing.

which means in substance...... STAY CORRECT WITH ANYONE TRYING TO HELP YOU, Don't be so sure of yourself and don't forget to say THANK YOU.
100% OFF TOPIC
