Spraying them shouldnt be much of a problem at all. Think would be a good idea to apply a good coat of lacquer over the top. Just make sure that the paint is compatible with the plastic. A barrier coat after a good rub down with some fine "wet and dry" may be a good idea.

ive carefully painted over the scuffs with some metallic silver paint from a warhammer store. it seems to have worked quite well. although you can still see where they were they arent as obvious at all! for the finer details i think ill buy a metallic permanent marker and just go over them...things like the edges where the paint has worn off.

I think if I were you I would take the case off, give it a light sand all over and carefully spray the whole thing then spray lacquer it over the top. Spraying isnt that hard, istructions on the tin and practice on some cardboard first. Something small like a phone case wouldnt take 15mins. Give it a go, you can do it any colour you like!!

mmmm, but how durable?? Thats the question?! I would pop into a model shop and buy a tin of lacquer and go over the pen, then it will be more permanent! |

well all this talk is great about ideas how to sort the housings scratches but it still don't answer my original question of getting a black/ silver OEM housing does it?
Bammers can you get the housings then? if you can you get black or would you need to spray it?

Sorry mate, no idea where to get a black housing. But if you get one I'd be happy to spray it for you. Even lacquer it too, would be a lovely deep shiny black. Or do you fancy a metallic black? In fact if you see a car and you like the colour, no problem you could have it that colour!! |
