Here's a simple solution. There should be an option to switch these LEDs off or on.

@whizkidd seems samsung have it all right, it had option to turn it off, choose colour, etc. was GREAT! could look at the led and know exactly what was happening on the phone without the hassle of checking hte screen |

Hi every1!
I miss theese leds too.
This is main reason to though to buy P9xx, but I bought S700.
It will be very nice to have this leds again in future models!

call me a grumpy git but come on...they dont actually enhance the performance of the phone at all! whether they looked nice or not is debatable but really its no big deal is it? |

by now, these leds will evolve in something really usefull, eg. power indicator, msg. and call alerts, bt awareness and finally I will be able to locate my phone in complete darkness so don't give me crap like you don't see any usefull thing in this leds |

Well if you read the manual of the phone, you would have learned that those LED's performed a function of discretely letting you know when a message has come in or you are about to make/receive a call. The Bluetooth LED is there to let you know you are ready to use the facility as well as remind you its on so you could turn it off to save power.
I want those LED's back please! The V800 i have has the green LED for signal...which makes me part happy...

For me I Do miss them....but i am enjoying them now with my Pocket PC i-mate Jam

yeah, the Jam alternates the same LED green and blue and its no where near as obtrusive as it was on, say, the T68i

Seems se is slowly resurrecting them in v800 and s700i. May be the future phones too will have them. Lets pray.
