@govigov i can have in my sim card 250 contacts and 10 sms, but in my cellular i can 70 sms and 250 contacts

@all : I've used gprs on an old...OLD sim card (got it in 1997), Which my dad still uses on his RAZR,v3.

@whizkidd: It is still not 100% network dependent. Take for example an attempt to run WindowsXP on a 486! It may run on a Pentium 2, but not as well as it would on a PIV. Some data rates just won't cut it on some SIMS.

Aya, debu and myself have old 16k sim's. And they work perfectly. May be its the indian way of doing things!

@whizkidd: That's where other factors come in: 1. Network. How many GPRS slots are active? 2. Location: You get slower speeds in congested areas e.g. big cities than in less congested areas. 3. Time: Slower speeds at peak hours, and 4. Handset: How many slots does your set use, and what is its processor power?

Think t230 is gprs class 8. And k series is class 10. P800 should be class 8. That makes the diff in speed.
