i would recommend getting a P800 if you can find one. brand new ones in asia are cheaper than both the K700 and 7610 and definitely offer much more bang for the buck. although screen is only 4096 colors, it has so many more advantages than those two.

well
K700 have 42 mega of memory on board
u can save MP3 in 64 kbit quality like 30 song
18 kb bit like 20 song
or 40 video clip in high resolution
k700 can record unlimited video
42 mega = 40 minutes
Infrared and bluetooth
it have radio
u can use Mp3s as a ringtones
and it has an mp3 player
stereo sound
its Sony ericsson = means u can get free update on the net
and besides no problem with sony ericsson phones
old user phone Sony Ericsson
Sony ericsson build tecnology for future use , i always noticed this
then other companys follow them with

so when it comes for 7610 it have 8 mega memory on phone
even when u use 64 mega as a memory card
no infrared
mono sound
no radio
record video only 10 minutes no more then in single clip
ad this phone looks like shit
its a 6600 and with a different shape
and something else with Nokia , bad support
they release to many phones same feature and with different style
so when u buy this phone wait till they release 7630 and the price of this phone will drop to half as fast as u can

so its for u what do u want to use

Look from another point of view: in my country(to be specific) a Nokia would loose only 15% of its value in a half of a year time thus allowing me to sell it at a very good price. AND the 7610 is better in features, so why not have it even if i don't use it NOW! maybe i will next week! If i buy a k700i, i wuld loose at least 25% when selling it AND it's inferior as a phone cuz it's from anotha class. Any way u look at it, Nokia wins on this one and the uses also wins if he buys it.

Hey all, as I said, please really USE. I really emphasis the word "USE". It is really important.

Do not think Smartphone or Series 60 has lots of function but difficult to use, it is not the case, for Series 60 devices. It is far more easier than most other smartphone platform. It is a one-hand operation device, providing very nice and user-friendly user interface which I think is nice enough for normal daily use. It does not like UIQ, which require two-hand to use. You can just use a Series 60 device for normal use, and most users really enjoy it even they do not need third-party applications.

Thus, I have said that, I have got both 7610 and S700 but I still think that 7610 is still better because it is more user-friendly. I will not conclude a phone "bad" or "good" by using it only about a day. I will really USE it and FEEL it. I do not want to cheat myself and of course others.

It could be the easiest mobile in the world to use, but my point still stands; many people simply do not want a smartphone.

I don't see how offering a personal opinion is 'cheating' someone. Even if one has only used one of the devices in question, one is still very much entitled to offer an opinion on what that device was like to use.

'User-friendliness' like many of the other factors we are discussing here is a subjective term, what is easy for you may seem complicated for someone else.

i dont know whether it is true in other places, but at my place, SE phone price dropped quite a lot in short time. For example, the K700 price has dropped something like 60% for the same tariff plan since launched. Sometimes, this is gives a negative perception that SE phones are overpriced and not worth the money.

Hi all, first time posting.

I've been through quite a few phones these last few weeks, and everyone is taking about all the phones I've had. My contract was due for renewal and I ordered a K700i. It came branded from Vodafone and had locked the MP3 funtion as ring tones so i returned it. I knew I could have upgraded the firmware but just didnt bother. Then I ordered a Nokia 7610, within 3 days I'd called to return that one as well. I just could not get used to the menu and everything. The 7610 can play MP3 but it's rubbish, always skipping and the quality is crap too. I would have stuck with the K700 given the chance compared to the 7610. Anyways, I have a P910i and it hasn;t even crossed my mind to return it. It's a brilliant phone! I truely recommend it to anyone.
