The biggest steam engine used in Norway was called "Dovregubben" (the mountain king), photos:

It weighed 160 metric tons and had 2600 hp (one of the best in this size at the time. One other site says almost 5000 hp, but I'm not sure if that is correct). Seven units were made, in the late 1930ies, production stopped because of war.
