Yep, took it along to my local Ericsson dealer Friday 28 June, had software updated (to my surprise vR2E006) also had case et al changed (not cheap) to the T68i silver/blue. Only prob. is if I need to return phone to Orange I will need to get the case et al changed back, otherwise no problems other then the loss of Tetris |

If u upgrade ur T68m to 'i' on orange and its faulty/lost/stolen pissed on - whatever - u will get a T68m back again - unless they withdraw the 'm' altogether (probably once all new stock is gone) - but they will have loads of recon 'm' phones for insurance/faulty replacements anyway - so yeh - you'll have to take it in/send it off (like me) for the software update - and mentioned earlier they may refuse to replace the handset if one comes back in with different software version than expected (the insurance dept can refuse replacements & then charge u 4a new h/set or ask for the hset to be returned for testing first - it's in ur T&C's) |

The sooner orange uk lose the branded phones the better...it should operate like it does elsewhere...it puts them at a disadvantage...just as they proved with the first M's they released un badged...breaking their own rules but showing it adds unnecessary manufacturing time to do!

Got mine done early June on Orange, just after upgrae became avaialable, so had to leave it there for 24hrs - CPW service centre, off Baker Street.
They had no probs with me being on Orange, and yes it's still locked to Orange |
