ermm well basically, should you want to buy this equipment legimiately, say as a Nokia prodigy box, griffin box or neelix box, you would get given a box serial that allows you to update the sw carried within your box, which is why i have only jsut gotten my 7600 unlocked!! from what i can gather thats what the box serial is!!

so u get the box serial with the phone?? could u post an example, like
98845-3836 or whatever it is. is it indidual to each phone?

I've just tried that '4960' etc. code to try and use an Orange 2G sim card in an NEC e616v and it didn't work
