Well Well.....
you come to an oriented forum and tell them why not to get a K700i!
Great move and some of the things you've said (iPod, Sony Cybershot cam)
Find me a smartphone with 20GB+ storage with a 3 or 4 megapixel cam on it you have an arguement!
I regrett getting my Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.25 due to it being slower than the Ferrari F1 car!
How much is the K700i Vs an iPod and a Sony Cybershot digicam?
Nuff said!

Most of that is opinion with a smattering of null points.
"If your a xxx user"
Where xxx is a completely different device designed for one particular feature (ipod, cybershot) where as this is a phone with these features as secondary?!

dude the phone is brilliant, your 10 points are all pretty petty aswell.
You compare it to things, that it never intended to be. |

Looking through Silex's profile, i notice he's made 40 posts since he joined the forum.
I picked out a few to see the type of thing he talks about. I didnt check them all, but if you look, they all seem to be moans about SE.
why do these people join forums just to moan ?

I usually dont bother replying to this stuff but this thread is complete turd. Some of the other threads that have "avoid k700" make some sense. But this is all rubbish.

Thats fair enough that the phone has its flaws. I didnt bother buying one myself. But try to compare the phone to designated cameras or ipods but these are specialised tools that do the job properly.
I suppose you could say that the ipod and a sony digicam dont make calls or send text messages so the k700 has done well in that respect.
The thing i like least about the phone is that you have to press at least 6 buttons to activate the speakerphone which should reeally be instant.
Dont knock the author of the thread....we are all entitled to our opinions!!! |

@Silex
1) "If you are a Nokia user"
Then go sit and bitch about the k700 on the Nokia forums.
2) "you'll not like the ugly keypad design and the overall techy look"
Who are you to say what I will like? This is your opinion.
3) "If you're fond of quality"
While I agree about the dust in the camera (though this is hardly major problem), there is nothing wrong with the quality of my K700. Dont know why your quickshare sticker keeps coming off but mine (and I suspect most people's on here) dont, so maybe this is an issue with YOUR K700?
4) "If you're a Samsung user, you we'll be disappointed by the software glitches and problems"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! You are joking right? Anyone remember the option to 'Ring and Vibrate' at the same time on a Samsung phone that is selectable but NEVER works, from the old Samsungs right through to the new? How about the dozens of E700s that I have had returned to my store with software problems? Have I had any K700s back? Nope....
5) "you'll be disappointed by the ugly fat clock appearing as screensaver to save the battery life"
Key words here: TO SAVE BATTERY LIFE. I for one dont have a problem with it, and anyway, this is YOUR OPINION once again. Who are you to say others will be disappointed?
6) "you'll be very disappointed of the poor battery life"
Okay, I will be nice, and will conceed this one to you, though two days use is hardly 'poor', as most people I know charge their phone every night anyway.
7) "you'll be very disappointed by the white-purple backlighting"
OPINION OPINION OPINION!
8 ) "If you're an iPod user"
Not even going to bother with this one. Stupidest thing I have heard all day.
9) "If you're a Sony Cybershot user"
No, I take it back, we have a winner for dumbest thing ever posted.
10) "If you're a Smartphone user"
You are kidding right? IS THE K700 A SMARTPHONE? No. Idiot.

what kind of stupid reasons are that? the 0.3 megapixel camera isn't as good as the sony cybershot... of course! it's stille a fone and not a digital camera, it isn't an I-pod, its a fone.... you cant take pictures with your i-pod hé.
besides every fone has bugs, even smartphones. and you can update your firmware via the internet. the k700 has also lots of positive points. like quickshare, samsung can learn from that. |

Those 10 reasons are loaded with nothing but bull... not to buy a k700i just for the slipping sticker and comparing it to a full blown digital camera and a mobile jukebox!?

to all the compulsive defenders of K700, there is no need for 10 reasons, just one will do.
with battery that can only last 1-1.5 days on moderate use, it sure break records for a high end phone.
so no need to compare when K700 can't even get off the starting block.

But my K700i lasts me 3 days with moderate use.
I made a 1 hour phone call, sent about 5 SMS messages, played tennis on the bus home for 30 minutes and bluejacked about 20 phones today...
My battery is now three quarters still full.
So what im saying is mib1800, you're talking bullsh*t !

1/1.5 days... it lasts me 2 1/2 days, moderate usage... bluetooth, GPRS in the mornings, calls and SMS usage, 8 songs worth of mp4's playing. |
