That doesn't surprise me, as I wrote in my technical post in this thread some change to the driver will also be necessary to support the longer address format.
You'll need that change, plus a DUO PRO formatted to FAT16, for this to work. The change to the driver may or may not be trivial, it'll depend on the hardware (see my previous post for more details).

But @thread starter: go back to work (or ask a co-worker), get the update, even if it's not release quality, and let us all have a go at it.

I can't, since I don't work there any more and the people who had that phone were from a different department altogether. Anyway, as I said it was very slow, and it required you to reflash the phone - these guys have prototypes and equipment to put a "homebuilt" image on the phone, that's not possible on a production device since there are security features that will only allow a proper release (digitally signed by SE) to be flashed.

Would it not be possible to make one of those MS's that was like two in one and you flicked the switch on them to change to the other 128MB?

Yeah thats possible but what for? just the PX00, they didnt really design this to just for the memory sticks, All those 128mbx2 is two duos underneath a normal stick, no new design was made. So for the to make this in a duo they would have to create a whole new design. And in sony eyes, its out of date! Pro duo is next. |

The "Pro" lock is software, and theoraticly it can be removed, changed or replaced.
But how...... dunno how just want to say it's software.
But the P910 would be a big lauch to release Pro to P900. |

they could do it if they wanted too - but why would they want too? i for one will probably be giving them a big chunk of money when i upgrade to a p910 just for PRO support.
