You should really consider a software upgrade. The newest software is R5D007. This one is really fast, and from what I see you havn't got the (i) software in your phone. Upgrade as fast as you can, it's the only thing I can say then you can judge the phone.

You're talking about upgrading to T68i firmware, right? I don't think there are, or ever will be, free authorized firmware upgrade services here in the U.S. for T68m. I think my firmware R2B013 is the most recent for the T68m. Anyone, please correct me with any of these statements if I am wrong.

Does voice dialing work better with fewer saved voice contacts? For example, if I only have 5 names with voice dialing, versus 15? I'd imagine it'd be more difficult for the phone to distinguish one name from another as the total number of stored voice contacts increases.

I don't live in the U.S. so I can't be 100% sure ofcourse but, I think that some guys from U.S.A have upgraded their phones maybe you can ask them, but it's a big country so you can always try to search on www.sonyericsson.com after dealers.

Screw this. I'm getting a Nokia first thing tomorrow. The T68 has eaten away at my brain for the whole week that I've had it. It's like a complicated disease that I don't care to have grow on me. I don't need Bluetooth... I only had it on so the cool blue light would flash all the time. I don't need WAP... that's what my PC cable internet is for. I don't need Tri-band GSM... I'm not a traveling business man. I don't need a joystick... I already have a Playstation. I don't need a clip-on camera... someone else will bring a camera to the party. And lastly, I don't need to spend money on a new phone... AT&T will refund my defective T68 and I'll get my 8390 for free, thanks to the rebate. I like Nokias. You know why? Because they aim to simplify life. I don't need another computer in my life. I just want a good, FAST phone. The T68 can't even keep up with its own joystick, for God's sakes.

I enjoyed reading that, You have been sold a slow old software model & th "M" version is not that impresive now days, shame you dont try a fast "i" model, i swore by Nokias till 13mths ago i bought t68 later upgraded to i. and it is ten times more flexible than th Nokias,to find all th brill features it takes a while & for th first time in my life i didn`t change my phone after 12mnths because i love it so much. we can`t all like the same stuff though can we. that would be boring.

I have problems with the phone freezing on me sometimes, and i also dislike the long delay you get when you turn your phone back on and try to find numbers off your phone book! I also dislike the fact the the ringing tones are only monomorphic, and that we cant download any new games

Yea, those last two points make th phone outdated NOW. I use a bluetooth ipaq pocket pc with mine so games arent a problem & i don`t have my ringer on (just vibro) because it annoys people but i DO like th idea of polyphonic,i`ve played with it on other ohones & was impressed. I am very impressed with th t68 photo quality when sent to a laptop, all i say is show me a bluetooth, camera, gprs, mms, polyphonic, colour screen,java..etc phone as small as a T68i & i`ll replace my T68i with it ...BUT IT DOES`NT EXIST.

Zamarov, your stand by time problem is probably due to a software upgrade you did as it happens mostly to people that upgraded their software to R5D007 or R5C001. Also once screwed, it seems there are no solutions yet to get it back even if you flash back your phone to an older firmware...
