Still need land line for international calls. I am thinking about getting rid of it, but for that to happen I need a reliable plan for international calls. I am looking currently for it. |

I never give out a home number unless a person or company insists they won't call me on mobile. The point is I am always contactable via mobile but rarely at home! I do use the home phone for sitting on long support queues and yes, international calls and for that I can recommend alpha telecom... 3p/min to Australia from UK!

well my mum still has her landline which she uses to call internationaly and well i need it for internet |

yeah.. thats why cellphones are creating a revolution out here, in india.
because mobile connections are easy to install and maintain, as compared to landlines. especially in rural areas.. where u can't find proper bus routes, those places have cell sites and the like. its really amazing!! like some farmer on his bullock cart talking to his wife!!
(i don't think he had an se phone.. sadly!)
one can actually experience the change in landscape of communications, out here!
since cellphones are like really cheap here ( u can buy a CDMA mobile with a connection for like 8-9 euros or less!).
so landlines are out, definitely.
