if you ordered your k700 over the phone or on the net do you still get a free music player?

Seems to be lots of cases where o2 'forgot' the order, happened to me too, which seems kind of strange, oh well, got mine now, still happy! one point though...
I tried doing the online software update on the website, but it said my phone code didnt have an update, does this mean I am not going to be able to update my phone's software because it's an o2 'branded' phone?
any help much appreciated, especially after the huge improvements brought by the updates on the t610 and the t68 (original one - except getting rid of tetris, damn you)

"Ordered a K700 from O2 online last Friday 18/06/04 (free on £30/month contract). Received DHL docket yesterday so drove to the depot (25 mile round trip) very excited only to find that they had sent me a Samsung E700!!!!!"
I was amazed it wasn't delivered to your house.
I wanted to upgrade my (t610) phone and so I first rang one line @ O2 and was told but some kid that they where out of k700i's, the kid couldn't give me a date of when they would be getting some more in, so i ended the call.
A little later after a bit more searching on their website I found a different telephone number, which i called just on the off chance.
I asked the women who answered if I could upgrade she said "no problem" and the phone will be with me in 5-7 working days......it came after two!!
Apart from calling the wrong number (clearly) staff there have been fine. (even when e-mailing them with questions). |

My firmware has been updated on my 02 phone at a local Sony Service Centre. Works fine for me, but other people have had problems.
BTW I got my phone from www.mobileshop.com.

could not get mine updated. carphonewarehouse said i already had latest firmware (even though it is R2A the first release). online update failed.
another question for you o2 users. do you sometimes find that picture messages seem to get lost in transit? you send them, they never get recieved.
is it that o2 hijack them to have a good gander?
 cake anyone? |

Not what I wanted to hear after just ordering the DSS-25 sync station to update my firmware online
Occasionially both incoming and outgoing MMS messages go astray, is this an O2 only problem? |

Well guys this is my story. I first made a contract with vodafone but soon i realise that vodafone is crap. so is better if its called vodacrap. Anyway so i canceled my contract with vodacrap and i went straight away to O2. I asked them if they lock the phone as vodacrap does and they said no and they were right. I made my contract with O2, I took my brand new K700i and went straight away to my house to open it. I felt like it was the first time- which is actually was because vodacrap make the phones look like sh*t! The menu is absolutely supurb and I have all the functions of my phone. Vodacrap doesn't allow to use mp3 file as rigntone, what kind of business is that anyway. Got back home placed my K700i onto DSS-25 trasfered some pictures and I left there for a while for the battery to be fully charged, after the battery was ok i went straight away to the software upgrade site of sony-ericsson. And the update was fast about 15 minutes on a cable 600kb and the firmware is just fine... So I am really happy of my K700i!
Have a nice time... |
