I should thank sage too as he sent me one last week. The account I set up also had a few invitations to send to people so I used those to create a couple of other ones for different purposes for myself and I now have 1 invitation left which I will give to my wife at the weekend
I guess soon enough they will be freely available anyway but I do like the way gmail works and think when it is out of beta it will be a massive hit, assuming the privacy issues can be controlled. I don't think I will be using it for anything sensitive for a while, I will continue to use my ISP email for that until I am satisfied

it will definately take off, i think hotmail will get hit really badly, the amount of problems ive had with them is unbelievable
if google can introduce instant messages as well, which they hopefully will do in the future then that will be great

elrond, was the error message you got "ooops... the system was unable to perform your operation. please try again in a few seconds"?
my wife just created an account 10 minutes ago and that what she gets every time she tries to login in.

I don't get it, gmail is free, the invites are free, somehow you managed to have alot of invites which I'm sure you got for free ( most of it ) so why don't give it away, they will be useless after. And btw no one will buy 92 gmail invites, think about on what they will do with 92 invites !!!
My 2 cents

@masseur I'm glad, that it work for you now and yes it was the message like "Gmail server is down at the moment. Pray, that it works and try in a few minutes".

@Mixin: Try Safari 1.2.1 or later, it works a treat and GMail is officially supported on it! or you could use Netscape 7.1 +, Mozilla 1.4 +, or Mozilla Firefox 0.8 + |
