@ephil24: right.I expect at least VGA, interpolation sucks. That's why i always ask for OPTICAL zoom on a camera.

its just a pointless gimmick i wonder how many people really use it after they have tried it once and seen the results. i would have prefered whatever memory it used to have been left for the user and a program sat on se server so if we want it we can download it
same with music dj i never use again would like it out and more memeory available 32mb(or whatever it ends up as) sounds a lot but i bet most people fill it quite quick few mp3s games themes etc it soon goes |

32mb seems less if you consider Mp3s. However, its good enough for images, games and themes and 30 sec tones. Remember that it not intended to be a Mp3 player.

Well maybe they just want to go slow.. I mean sell enough K700s first and then release a "k700+Mem card" that will also sell... |

1: Games how many games do you need? It aint a PS2!
2: Video clips, It ain't like you gonna be filming a hollywood blockbuster with it are you?
3: Music, If you want music on the move buy a ipod! the music is for ringtones and if you want lots of music listen to the radio!
4: Pictures, If you want great looking pictures buy a 5mega pixel digital camera!
good now i've got that of my chest i can relax, remember its only a phone not a Camcorder, PS2, Ipod or digital camera, its a phone, its main function is for calling people. ok anything over and above that is a bonus.

1: I bought a z600 because, i liked the design and the features of it.
2: I have a phone with a camera in it because sony ericsson decided to put a camera in the phone.
i think your missing my point:
i purchase a phone to call people, and any other things like cameras, videos, mp3's are a bonus.
the difference between me and other people is that i don't complain about these extra features being crap, rubbish, a waste of space etc... as i very rarely use them.
when iam buying a new phone the main questions i ask myself are
1: Does it look good?
2: Is it an improvement on what i have?
3: Is it easy to use?
4: Is it comforable to use?

About time someone said it. I get sick of reading people moan and moan about phones like the K700, S700, P900 and Txxx/Zxxx series not having enough memory, or the pictures not being of high quality..
They are bloody phones !
If you want to listen to lots of MP3's, buy an iPod ! If you want to take high quality photos, buy a dedicated digital camera ! If you want lots of memory, buy laptop !
I'll be buying BOTH the K700 and S700 when they come out because i like them, and the features they have. The lack of memory isnt a problem for me as i'll be using them primarily as a PHONE  (heh, who'd think of it !), and use their other features as a secondary use.
When i get my K700, i'll be using its 32mb memory limit to store pictures, games, radio stations, MP3 ringtones, themes and other files..
When i get my S700, i'll be using its 128mb memory limit to store my 1.3mp pictures, games, radio stations, MP3 ringtones, themes and maybe a handful of MP3's to listen to while on the bus, working, etc.
I use my phones for what SE intended them to be used for, i dont expect them to be something they ARE NOT !
I also had to get that off my chest !

Finally someone else who thinks the same way as me! but the expandable memory is another issue, which i have a problem with, but its no biggy.

The S700 has expandable memory.. 128mb per stick.
So what if we had to carry more than one Duo stick around with us ? Is it really such a big problem ?
I can think of advantages of using say two 128mb sticks instead of one 256mb stick, such as in case of theft, you still have some of the memory with you, you only lose whats stored in the stolen phone. Or if one stick gets corrupted, you only lose the data on the stick that gets corrupted, not both (unless you're really unlucky).

they are fair point and yes i do expect it to be a phone for most and about to text and wap second and ability to sync
camera i dont care about hence the fact i aint intrested in and manipulations that are added
on the point of mp3 i agree buy an ipod if you can afford it but if a phone can use them i would expect to get 1 album on and that for me is fine beyond that yes buy an ipod
games are getting better and i have a few on my t610 same if i get a k700 i will have a few and will store then on the pc as i do now and just transfer what i need
i was just dissappointed in the overall memory as it has mp3 support and that memory is taken up with things that most people dont seem to use |
