because of this:
I always thought the ericsson logo on their phones look really good until the sony ericsson logo came around.
But anyway, I think SE makes their phones with understated class which make them all the more cooler than nokia phones which are so full of flashiness.
Also has anyone tried to use that grid menu that nokia is now selling as innovation? you can barely recognize the icons for what they stand. My gf goes nuts whenever I switch her 7250i's menu to the grid menu because she can't make any sense of those icons. and I always say "that's what you get for your nokia. a lousy copycat menu of SE."

SE beats Nokia hands down because of
-better screens
-better menu system
-better ringtones
-better size
-better price
That is why the T610 was voted best GSM phone for 2003. And yes, I am a proud owner of one!

very good point, we all know who came up with the idea of a grid menu. now nokia's copied it and is bragging about it! they even released the 7250i; a newer version of the 7250 which has the option to view the menu in grid form.
[don_vercetti: Also, themes they are the amazing things about SE's, or they were when i got my t300. They really were a revolution, and i gather nokia are copying them? can't blame them can ya.]
very good point also. themes are a very cool thing to have on your mobile phone, sort of like a desktop theme. nokia's copied this concept, too on the 6600 -- but we all know who came up with the idea...

yup. this is the secret of se's appeal. |

Yupz.. Totally agree that Nokia's "new" grid menu sux. Bad and misleading icons. I first saw it from my friend's 6230 and I need to look at the title on top to know what is what.
BTW, answering back to this topic, Nokia's bluetooth implementation is extremely poor compared to SE - and that's why I just dump my 6600 for T630. I'm very much enjoying my T630 now. |

SE handsets tend to be chock full of new trend setting features.

Stupid things with Nokia
- Bad displays to almost all handsets, worst of all is low resolution
- Colourless menu and not as easy as Sony Ericsson
- Built quality is often not good, it creaks from the beginning
- Very ugly design to almost all of their handsets
- Battery isn't reliable alll the time but Nokia is not alone with this issue
- Limited opportunities to personlize your handsets
- Reception
Stupid things with Sony Ericsson
- Reception isn't that great but it is hopefully fixed with the K700
- The menu speed is abit to slow but is definitely fixed with the K700
- Many people want Sony Ericsson

@gforce
Yupz, Nokia's bt implementation is so poor that I gave up 6600. The other reason was that I just got my PocketPC, so I won't miss the symbian very much.
@mckinley
Honestly, I think Nokia's reception is definetely better than SE's. In my previous 3 Nokias, I can get full and clear reception at home. Now I rarely get full reception anywhere in the house.. Even when outside I rarely get full.
@nickname88
Newer Nokia phones like 6600 already allow users to send pics via few options, ie Ir, BT, MMS and email.
@john_mayer
7650's bluetooth was only limited for data transfer, not for headsets - that's why.
