i wanna flash my phone with the new FW but if there isn't any considerable change in phone performance..i'll just stick with r5b001.

There is one important fix in the new firmware for the Z600. The side buttons "mute" function now don't stop working after 10 seconds. Meaning you can mute the phone even after 10 seconds of ringing.
Before (with the old software) you had to press the camera button first, then one of the volume buttons to "mute" the phone if it had been ringing for more than 10 seconds.
They didn't fix the email problem though (see my earlier post in this thread).

Been using the new R6C005 firmware for over a week now and I can't see any difference at all.
One thing I was disappointed by was that I expect the upgrade to get rid of all the T-Mobile software in my phone, but alas it is still there, any ideas?

to get rid of predefined items you need to also flash the phone with the original SE uncustomised GDFS file.

also, 1 more question.... is there gonna be any effects if we bought our fone from some country (e.g. UK) and upgrade it with new FW in another country (e.g Australia)?

I am new and still learning. I have a question about my T610, i have the new firmware R6C005 and i understand that is phone's operative system and what is prg cx12-5568.EU_4 ?. Is this program for the phone ? if that, can I uograde to the new version ? Where and how ?

Hi, I just got my T610 upgraded from r4c. What I immediately noticed was the better contrast of colors. Images look sharper too! The camera does not lag as much as before and the colors of the images taken are closer to the real thing. I estimate it to be 10 to 15 percent improvement on the display. Texting is just a bit faster. Actually my phone has been slowing down lately. I may need a master reset. The upgrade just "normalized" the speed. I'll post more as I get on with my exploration.  |

All right. All these are good. But my warranty expired 2 weeks ago. How much costs the update at a se center:-(. And how can i delete the awful digirain sound that takes up 29kb? Also i find the memory is decreased after playing a java game and frees up when restarting.

SW information on the service menu shows upgrade on the LCD SW version.
R4C003 LCD SW version current is 200308060 while R6C005 has 200401160.
This explains the slight improvement on the display. I havent noticed any other improvement. |

That doesn't tell me anything unless you can add your score with the older FW..
I guess that phones are similar to computers that can give you totally seperate scores even if they are similar but have been used on different ways.
