The Italian station was called mobile.hitchannel.tv. Dunno if they are still feeding. What they broadcasted were live music video feeds. Some punk, rock, and hiphop. If you connect your Pxxx to the cradle and hijacked your PCs' bandwidth the video was extremely smooth. There server actually excecuted a script that would launch the default video player, therefore did require any additional software. I have unlimited GPRS and I was able to watch some Red Hot Chili Pepper and Nelly videos smoothly on the run during off peak hours. Somewhat herky jerky, but tolerable. I remember using it as far back with my P800 prior to the release of the P900. Haven't connected in about a few months. I guess that's why I suggest that members here could create their own personal setups and really just set their server to excecute a script that utilizes the default player. These guys were able to do this close to a year ago for the P800.

I'm watching it using GPRS, you will get about 1 to 2 frame/second and fair good sound, good enough for watching news. They have higher frame rate live tv but it will eat up the buffer too soon.

I've watched Live streaming on a 7610 from CNN
part from quality it was very nice to be watching
Live tv on your cellphone but the costs are high in GPRS.
The quality gets much better with WCDMA, viewed on 7600
this one could receive much more data on the wider band.
The 7700 will be equiped with it as a standard

I got that from this thread: http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14664
@-->They use a H6-- something compatible codec to stream, which is an international standard, so surely there must be some other content out there?<--@

I'm bored with the FondoPlayer's channels so I'm trying to setup my own streaming server, after some search I found the Helix Universal Server - Basic which is free and good enough for my personal use. I managed to setup the streaming of clip on demand (use the build-in packetVideo viewer to watch) but cannot boardcast a live media, did anyone tried this streaming server before?
