nokia was the innovator when it relased the 1st communicator years ago while other companies had none like it. other companies are just copying nokia nowadays. the 9500 and p900 should not be compared for the nokia clearly is much more high end than the p900. uh oh... now i will get crap form die hard SE users even if they don't admit that they are.

Well it's a nice phone it has excellent features etc. but why is it more high end than p900? the price is the same thu build quality is worse than p900 (read the preview a infosync) features are better but are forgeting that the p series are 2 yr old? i'm 99% positive that se will release a p1000 or whatever at the same time or at a max 1-2 minths later, they HAVE to because they are a company which concetrates on high end users....

Infosync also said the build might change before the release. Remember it was a prototype they were testing. And I don't remember them comparing it to P900? |

@All
WiFi and Edge? This is all Nokia has to offer? It seems that most SE phones have been tri-band for years. BT is a staple of SE for years and years, and years. Nokia finally makes a "Smartphone" that can compete with SE and people think Nokia will rule the world. |

@redtooth - Very impressive specs there ! I, for one will surely go for the new Nokia Communicator - 9500, unless, I've seen the specs of the SE P1000 . . . |

No chance, the P900 is the mutts nuts (as we all know!)
P900 - 150 grams (with flip/MS Duo etc)
9500 - 222 grams (without memorycard!)
TOO BIG MR NOKIA!

And I can say that P900 has too small screen and no effective enough data input method for PDA usage. And 9500 has memorycard...

From the specs/feature wise, 9500 is more advanced than P900. Basicly the only thing that 9500 doesn't have compared to the P900 is the touchscreen and I don't consider that as a bad thing.
And you're judging the quality from some preview made with early prototype?!? Talk about the build quality from the final product, that's what the users get.

As usual it comes down to personal taste......
But it has a great spec.......
Personally size is not such a problem, just stick headset on and away you go....
Getting better Nokia.... |

Forget the Nokia 9500 check out the Motorola MPx. If SE wants to survive the next year it better be anouncing phones that are either far better then both the 9500 and the MPx or at least close to the two. Anyone else agree? |
