I just cant see P1000 coming this year when they just announced P910 which hasnt come out yet. But I dont know how P910 will compete with more advanced phones like Moto MPX, 9500 and other coming nokia smartphones. |

Sorry to drag this up again, but does anyone have any more news on P1000?
The rumours seem to have been around for a long time now and I would have imagined that there would have been some solid evidence by now.
I am thinking of upgrading to P910 and if I do and the P1000 comes out the week after, I will kill myself and I will blame you guys, he he he. |

One of the rumours I heard was that he P1000 was likely to be released in Q2 of 2005.

So I can take it that there definately will be a replacement then. Ok.
I have just been browsing the SE website comparing My T610 with P900 and P910 and I noticed that all of SE's latest handsets have what is called ICON DESKTOP 12, which is the standard 12 icon menu functions.
The P9** series seems like the odd-one-out and when compared to the menu of the S700, it's menu, with the 'jog dial' revolving icons almost looked a bit dated (it reminds me of my old Sony J70e).
I think the P910 is only a facelifted of the P900 so SE can stay in the smartphone game while the P1000 is being primed for release. The P910's successor has got some real competition when it is released. It is going to have to be something very special. |

I am really in two minds whether to upgrade to a P910 now. P1000 in Spring and My contract runs out in late Jan:( |

Don't take what I said as gospel. Remember that any specifications for the P1000 are speculation at this stage, I wouldn't base your decision on that.

if i can advise you, definitely go into p910. i personally would go even into p900, its only small difference and they are by far the best smartphones on the market and for some time it will stay like that. i got my p900 for more than 6months and still am finding new ways how to use it and install new soft all the time. |

Right you have convinced me.
It is a P910 upgrade and deskstand for me for Christmas (well for Jan ) and if a P1000 comes out soon after I will flog the 910 on ebay for as much as I can.
There is so much competition today in smartphones that the P1000 is bound to be knock-out. I doubt it will be as revolutionary as the P800 when that appeared but it will make an impact. Hope it is 3G.
