PS2 is much better than Generation-XBox. Who cares about what components XBox has, PS2 has games that are playable and a controller which is usable which hasnt got XBOX plastered all over it so you dont forget what console it is your playing on.

Buying games that have been released for a year or so is pointless becuase the sequel is just around the corner... hehe |

fair point but x-box's version's are harder longer and better quality! ps2 design there hardest games to be completed within a month (ready for a new release) where as xbox go for the quality and things that ps2 are saving for sequal!!!! for example - burnout2 - ps2 15 crash zones - xbox 30crash zones - so ps2 decide not to complete burnout 3 till further notice cos now they have to add the other 15 crash zones aswell! ps3 will prob be an amazing bit of kit, but we dont have it yet so xbox it is till then!

you can get a standard xbox and one controller cheaper then that, best option buy 2nd hand chipped, so you can play both region dvd's and they have already payed to have it chipped! just to save you some more money!

the only "advantage" that XBOX has over PS2 in terms of games is Halo and halo 2. But i can get them on PC so it isnt that bad.

That's not true. It alI comes down to the games you like to play.
Xbox is king for 1st person shoot'em ups. Also Xbox live is awesome.
PS2 good for football (lSS) and jap games.

i havent played them , but i have heard good things about it. A lot of people are into the final fantasy stuff, but turn based fights dont appeal to me.

Hi! I read an article saying that IBM will deliver the processor for both PS3 and X-BOX2, and that it will be a PPC. It also said that ATI will deliver the graphic card for X-BOX. So I guess they will have simular hardware performence.

hmm. i recon one company will utelise the hardware to its full potential with graphicsd (cough*XBOX*cough) but the other will concentrate on the games aspect...

they didnt appeal to me either, played BG1 and loved it, (dont normally like platform games either, prefer car games, and flight games) but then played pop sands of time and now i'm hooked! just down loaded BG 2 onto xbox, and cant wait ot have a session on it with m8! but having 27 games, and not having to find space to put all the cases is another advantage!

i work shifts, so get a lot of days off, so i complete and get bored of them to quickly.... thats when im not in the pub!  and the good thing also, is that i dont need to find space for dvd cases either there all on my pc, then when i want to watch one just upload and watch! its gonna take a lot to get me to give up my xbox, i think when i get ps2 il prob still mainly use xbox, unless it offers same facilities +more!
