that's coming from a SE fan..it's biased..you want a semi-neutral review...
the 500 kb will go a lot further on the 3100 then on a SE..because you can store tons of games ringtones and pics. most morhpun games are bit bigger. plis nokia games you can get for free..if you know where to look..morphin too but harder to get.
this is a kids phone low end good for the young crowd... nothing more nothing less
but like i said i'd go with the n3100.. good luck with your decision.

erm... so you are not even considering other phones that 3100 and t230?
i mean what about 3200, z200, 530 etc. ?
though i can't recommend a phone because i don't have a clue what your sister wants....
i mean does she need ir, mms, gprs etc?
though 3100 and t230 are both nice phones for the money.... |

AM NOT! Ok why you say he should go for the nokia? I say because the se is cheaper. Has same colors. Stable software. Better aerial connectivity. Much better mms capabilities. More chords in polys. Better looking. Light weight and handy. More features. EMS, AMR etc. Come on the phone is feature packed. Also the MCA30 is thousand times better

Somehow in india there aint many  admirers basically because someone by the name salora has taken the service for India and i swear that their service is the worst.
And we just hear complaints about fones not because they arent good but most of the people know nothing of firmware updates or say the service guys dunno what actually happens in an update as they only say display better (besides who in the india knows about picture size, contacts, cam up/down left/right joystick features..)  i was talking about t610 btw.
t230 is technically better than 3100 is what i feel
Lemme dig further deep into this scouring papers and pages.. 
 . my sis's friend has a 6610 .. so was inkling about the nookias.. she was also curious about seeing my fone..  .. she wont need ir.. mms maybe later.. .
but i guess t230 rules the roost in mms as u know ericsson pioneers mms concept..

i know but...z200 is very nice that's all... what i dont' understand is what good is mms if you don't have a camera?..i only use mms to send pics..that's it no animation greeting card things.. but that's me
and honestly by the time you get a phone and camera attachement..you might was well get a t610.

And if the girl don't want cam the 230 is way cheaper. And the z2 being a fashion phone is expensive in india about five thousand bucks thats a LOT

but guys.. z200 is between t230 and t610 in terms of price.. and t230 is really a nice balance between price and features..
performance was always debated..
z200 is nice outside but just fancy and hankypanky inside.. a miniature notebook.. it looks to me.. yup its for the fairer sex.. ...

You know it suddenly popped to my head that if you are willing to shell out a few extra thousands you could get a 65k display cam phone. The motorola e365.
