newer firmware versions mostly contain bugfixes, not very often there is new functions. If you don't have any problem with your phone there isn't really any use upgrading, normally it's free during the warranty period. |

I flashed my fone yesterday at my servicepoint and I got R4C so I think R6B is only a developer version? |

There IS R6B004 I'm using it right now...
Here are some clarifications:
-I don't know where it's from but it's R6B004 EMEA1
-This is not the beta version that everyone had earlier because this was JUST leaked by someone @ SE
-This is not the Vodaphone FW, that is R4B002 |

hello all i have just now downloaded the R6 firmware from cellular support. and the firmware file extension is .sbn.
could i upload this new firmware using my sony ericsson DCU USB cable ?. if so could anyone please please tell me how to go about it?

i guess this upgrading the firmware of t610 needs a terminator dongle (which i dunno whats it) along with the USB cable and the usename/password to use the sony ericsson total server and have to follow the strict rules  .
I really think, only a service personnel with all the setup ready can be able to upgrade T610 firmware.

You need a Terminator Dongle which can be purchased from eBay, then need DIV 8.4 cracked version from cellular-support.com
All you need after that is the files |

Before I start, i apologize for bitching so much...
I live in the U.S. and i just called SE upon reading this thread. WEll, they told me they only have R1L available and i told them that R3 and has been out for months and r6 just came out and the stupid bitch kept insisting that they dont know what i'm talking about...I guess SE doesn't even tell their employees what version of the fw has come out.
Plus, they told me to go ask t-mobile. So i go to the regional hq/store thing and ask about the fw. Turns out the guy in the store doesn't even know what the hell firmware is. So he kindly suggests that i call SE.
IM SO PISSED!!!!!!! |
