By the way, all bluetooth-capable devices are compatible with each other. Meaning, a Nokia bluetooth headset is also compatible with Ericsson T68 and all bluetooth-enabled phones. I tried using my Ericsson bluetooth headset to my friend's Nokia 6310 and it worked well.

I'll tell you why bluetooth is really cool: less clutter. How many of you have a printer, scanner, PDA cradle, maybe external storage device...etc. We can alll list a long line of periphials that probably have enough cable to cross the Atlantic. Well, with bluetooth all that B***s**t is gone...just radio waves. And bluetooth is not just 3meter infreared extended to 10 meters because bluetooth does not have to be line of sight. I don't know about your desks, but I can't wait to get rid of more accumulated f****** cables.

Bluetooth is very COOL!

I have bluetooth capable Laptop running Windows XP.

I use Ericsson Communication Suite (Free Download from SE website) to:
- Sync and manage Phonebook
- Send, receive, store SMS
- upload the background, sending high quality image (10kB or more) via bluetooth or ir to your T68, loading background via WAP limit file size to less than 3kB
- using T68 as GPRS Modem to connect to the Internet

I'm also Pocket PC user and I have CF Bluetooth card so I also can do most of above from my PDA too. (most newer Pocket PC have bluetooth built-in you don't need extra accessory)

Stoneroses > Actually the only pda's with built in bluetooth right now, is the Fujitsu Siemens LOOX and the Ipaq H3870.
In other cases you have to buy e.g. a card or jacket with bluetooth.

I'm quite sure that many more pda's and notebooks will have built-in Bluetooth in the future.

Tony > Yes Bluetooth is radio,..not infrared.

And yes, usually it doesnt matter which phone you use with what headset. The only difference, could be the phone's menu for bluetooth.
But basically they will all work together.

Also some bluetooth phones doesnt have a headset-profile,..e.g. 7650, this only have the data-part, not audio/headset.
Works the same way as the nokia connectivity-pack battery for 6210.
Thats only data-transfer too.

Jan,

You are right about Pocket PC that have BT built-in. But you should add new models of Toshiba Pocket PC to the list. (most have it right out of the box except one low-end model)

Yeah, I know Toshiba's on the "bluetooth-wave" too

But still its only "built-in" in the the topmodel Ipaq and the LOOX model.
Its still quite expensive to "built-in".

The notebooks, e.g. Vaio, and others are beginning to add Bluetooth more and more as a "standard feature",..thats nice. But I dont expect all of them to have it soon. It will take a while, but I do believe that quite a lot of high-end models will have bluetooth within this year/beginning of next year.

More and more companies have "seen" the idea of using bluetooth, and its becoming more "common". This of course will eventually make it cheaper,..which is good for the users

@TonyG, so far, I haven't encountered problems with my bluetooth-capable devices. They all work well. By the way, guys, I read somewhere that there are bluetooth-enabled refrigerators. You can check the content of your fridge using your bluetooth-capable phone. Cool! I think appliance manufacturers are planning to incorporate their wares or products with bluetooth.

Hey guys, I also found a cool way to use your bluetooth. You can actually play games using your bluetooth. Try it.

Playing games using bluetooth is an out of this world experience. I have friends who also happen to have t68i. We play Naval fleet just like playing network games on computers. It's really cool!
