Does anyone know if setting animated gif's for the flip-closed background works on a P800?
I've just tried it on my P800 and it just shows the first image....... |

No you can't do that, you can use them as screensaver but not as animated background. |

@ anish No, I didn't register anythin or activate anythin at all just there by default. I have an unconnected/unbranded P900 & am using an O2 Online PAYG sim bought from the O2 shop.

Just thought of another, when using the phones internal internet browser pressing on the timer in the top right corner changes it from time to KB. Useful to see if the connection is actually doing anythin. (works with P800 too)

A quick way to turn the loud speaker on is if the middle of a conversation (or right at the beginning if you want) pull the flip open less then 1cm then let it drop back down onto the screen and the loudspeaker is on as it would be with the flip open.

A classic /// trick is: -When recieving a call, hit C - phone will stop ringing but call goes on.

I find the jotter a great way to keep phone numbers that you don't want to keep in the contacts list. For example you may have phone numbers for employment agencies, utility companies, cabs, cinema and takeaway outlets and you don't want them mixed up alongside your friends and family in the contact list so keep them in a note using the jotter. |

If you are going to a new place and you want a map of the surrounding area, maybe the train station is half a mile through a maze of side roads to get there then i go to streetmap, type in the postcode and copy and paste the image into paintshop pro then save it on the phone. You can zoom in on the map to see what route to take rather than memorising it. |

Hi there,
With handheld, during conversation you can press C button (~2sec) to mute the microphone, but to turn it off, you have to use the application button
With handfree, you can turn on the mute fx by pressing C button (~2sec) and turn it off by pressing the on/off button on the headset.

If you want to know the battery level with the flip closed. Menu button -> 5
Status with percent of battery left, and when the next alarm is gonna go off. |
