I guess this thread is badly needed as a token of/or 'reward' to all it's members. It's just like the Oscar's - where all the US based actors and actresses were given some tributes for all the hardships they've done - year-in and year-out. Maybe just like us, our hardships done/made all year long - 2003 should not just be ignored thoroughly. As one of the very visible moderators @tranquil is reading this thread just only shows that he is quite 'curious' about the posts being made here, or 'maybe' even contemplating on - giving-in, such awards as @lucas is requesting of having . . . the problem perhaps is the budget for the awards to be given out, paging the CEO of Sony Ericsson, and of Nokia (maybe a representative is online) as well. How about Bill Gates ??? |

Why does everybody keep wanting rewards (or perhaps recognition?) in the first place?
How about a little 'being content with esato as it is' for a change?
And whys hould there be a formal 'best' of anything in the first place? What makes a community is the sum of all members and contributions..... so everybody.

Personally I don't think it's a bad ide at all.
It might boost the moral to keep topick on track, fill in real info in posts instead of "I agree!" and "So...?", it might inncurrage members to dig deeper before posting rumours and use "Search a tiny bit more frequent.
But, yes a big but.
As Jojo say the financing of prizes is, and will be a problem.
