2Artemiy: You are wrong. In Russia many people use Bluetooth. At least in all big cities. Just go to some crowd that has more than 20 people. Go to Metro...
I already have killed by Bluejack about 50 poor NoCrapkia users and about 30 S55 users. Poor people...
But yes, a lot of people have ther bluetooth turned off. While I hadn't my HBH-60, I turned it on only at home fo? synchronisation...
But I think in Russia it will be legal always . Russia rules... We have a site with full mophun games that is posted on free server, mophun team and one other company threatened us, but it is still working fine... Two weeks have passed since then .

As long as you aren't sending offensive/abusive messages then you should be ok. |

Jimster, the word 'should' puts doubt in my mind, does anyone happen to know for definate what the ACTUAL laws are ? |

@Pachy
The Queen or King of England is above the law. Does that give the French the right to call the brits 'Smelly Frogs'?

I think you've completely missed the point there, he didn't say the french were calling the brits smelly frogs, he said it was unfair that the brits call the french smelly frogs, which I agree with.
anyway this is way off track to the original thread, i asked is it illegal to bluejack, that has nothing to do with the queen, or name calling issues, I thought at least someone would have the actual answer to my original question. |

let's not veer off the original purpose of this thread, it's too bad to see an interesting thread go to waste.
in the philippines, it's illegal to bluejack. (per Republic Act 8792, also known as the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000.)
as usual, the problem would be in trying to catch the bluejackers. (and im almost sure that most of the law enforcers don't even know what bluejacking is)

I wonder if there is any traceable data left such as the jackers IMEI for example if it were to be examined indepth, I mean if I use SMan on my P800, it is all automated therefore it's very discrete and there is never any visible evidence that I'm jacking.. if the law in the UK says it's prohibited then I'll give up, if not, there'll be loads of 6310i owners in my locality checking to see of their flies are zipped up |

Does Sman blujack automatically if so, how do I set it up?

didn't you get a manual with it ?
If not, I recommend getting one, take a good read too, it's a real powerful little app to have on your phone, it does a lot more than just bluejack |

The problem with all this chat about legal/illegal bluetooth activity is that if it came to court how could you prove guilt?
How can you possibly identify the sending (and therefore guilty) party?

And you know, the chances of him owning a 6310i are extremely high |

As the founder and administrator of Russian BlueJacking project (bluejack.ru) I can say that many people in Russia use Bluetooth to communicate with each other. Many of them even BlueJack without knowing the notion
