I changed it for your benefit, but man- I dont care whether you were getting a Nokia or not. I dont work for Nokia, and dont give a stuff how many times you change your mind about getting a phone. They already have plenty of business without you.

Give me an example. Oh you mean when the T630 came out to outdo the T610? Oh right.
Nokia Sux? Put a logo on it and you'd think it was awesome!! |

Nokia releasing successors to their phones every month is a typical Esato lie (8 months is the shortest time in which Nokia has released a successor to its phone).
Like the 5100 for example. It was introduced in November 2002 and the 5140 followed a year later. The period of time was even bigger with the 7650 > 6600. The 7210 was announced in March 2002 and the 7250 in November 2002 (last summer they made some SW changes like an XHTML browser to and renamed it to 7250i), if you want to think it replaced the 7210. Same thing for 8910 and 8910i except that they definetely did replace each other. The 3660 followed a year after the 3650. As did the 6810 & 6820 after the 6800. Everything else you think is replacing is just different segmeting. The 6220 btw was announced in March and will be sold for quite a while before the 6230 arrives.
One of my best laughs at an Esato member was when Nokia announced the 3300. With his f**k-all knowledge, knowing nothing about Series 40 or 60, without even looking at the specs but only the form factor, he declared "oh look now they already made the N-Gage's successor, nokia sux".
And whats all this "having to buy the newest phone"? That's not what a normal user does. |

@flying finn: yeah it's a lie that nokia gives out a successor every month, but it's is true that nokia gives out a model every month with a different number but with almost the same features......
it's just like saying: t630 is a sucessor of the t610 that sucks!
but if se would rename t630 to t710 and they would still keep selling t610 that would in your logic be perfectly fine...........
nokia has at least 6 models in each catergory se has top 2 models
people at esato are pissed of because if you buy a nokia you will definetly have a better model for the same money next month in stores, but hey you say the this isn't bad because it isn't a sucessor!
i know from my own experiences, I bought a 3510i for my kid the other day but wow a 3100 for the same money was out next month!! but hey that isn't a sucessor in your logic so that's just fine!! |

"people at esato are pissed" - i wish people would just speak for themselves, that would save alot of problems.
i for one dont give a rats ar$e who makes a good phone, i'm a buy it regardless...althoug i steer clear of Moto's but thats just personal and may change inthe future...at least i'm open to the possibility.
SE aint all that, most of you who support them like football teams havent even had mobiles long enough to be listened to...just check the 'what was your first phone' thread to see people's history and then judge whether they're even worth listening to when discussing which brand is best.
my T610 suits me fine for now but next up could well be a Nokia...for all the right reasons not because i wear them on my chest.

@all Nokia lovers
Stay that way. Here at Esato we couldn't care less...
One things for sure, Nokia has 10 phones almost alike, at the same time.
N-Gage is not new stuff. Just a symbian 6.1/Series 60 phone with a game emulator software (and this we know it's true 'cos the games can be played in, i think, all series 60 phones, even SX1).
It's just like a "mophun" thing.
So (and i'm talking about the core thing and not Ir, BT, FM radio, etc..):
7650 = 3650 = 3660 = N-Gage = 6600 = 7200
6100 = 6150 = 7210 = 7250 = 7250i = 3200 = 3510i = 5100 = 6220 = 6210
And the Can't-transfer-pics-with-my-(almost every series 40)-to-another-phone-only-VCards feature, is a great improvement for Nokia.
And just to name a few.
Not that i care much, the only thing happening is that you buy a phone today and next month it's value dropped 50%.
And I think that i speak for 80% of the users here:
Take your loving Nokia thoughts for yourself, and don't post'em here, 'cos WE DON'T CARE!

You have listed here phones that are based on two platforms, ie. to Series 60 and Series 40. So, basicly what you're trying to say here is that vendor should create a new platform for every phone they make? It doesn't make much sense now, does it? Basicly all the phones you've listed above have different features. Developing platform and adding new features to it is called evolution.
And BTW. 7200 is not a Series 60 phone as you have listed above. |

No, what he is trying to say is "I havent a f**king clue about Nokia products, so I'll just list a whole lot of bull crap, hoping that no-one will notice."
These are the kind of people who ruin threads, because they waste peoples time having to read their made up rubbish!

wow you know it would save alot of problems if people would read CORRECT!! I was reffering to flying finn (that is kinda obvious because i wrote @fling finn ) with his "common esato lie" and therefore i was saying for those people who said that htey are pissed and it's logical i wasn't saying for you or me for that fact!!, christ you see two completely unimportant posts because you can't connect sentences..... |

Krubach, you really need to find some info about Nokia phones.
You obviously don't realise the Series 20, 30, 40, 60, 80 and 90 structure.
And comparing the 6210 with a 6220 is like comparing an Ericsson GH688 with a SonyEricsson Z1010. |

Ok, maybe i have to go down a few levels and make it understanble for you.
7650 = 3650 = 3660 = N-Gage = 6600 = 7200
6100 = 6150 = 7210 = 7250 = 7250i = 3200 = 3510i = 5100 = 6220
(Notice that between 7200 and 6100 there's no equal sign).
I'll correct myself and remove the 6210 from the list, i got confused, there are so many numbers...
BTW series 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 are just a few more numbers to the list.
All in all that's all you are to Nokia, numbers!
And yes, they're all the same because they smell the same.

There should be an equal sign between 6100 and 7200, but there shouldn't be one between 6600 and 7200.

Do you know what a joke is?
I was saying that besides the model numbering we have to keep track of the interface numbering.
About the 7200 question, OK, i got confused again (see what i mean). I meant 7600.

LMFAO YOU make it understandable for ME? How much can you know about Nokia I mean, Series 50 and 70 don't even exist! The worst thing about you that you don't recognize the differences between phones of the same Series (in Series 40, according to you, all phones - or no phones have MMC, EDGE, MP3 player, QWERTY keyboard, camera, video recording, FM Radio, enhanced durability, PTT, 3 softkey UI, 2 softkey UI, 65K/4096 colour screen etc). And sometimes, you don't know to which Series a phone belongs (7200 is S40, 3510i is S30, 6150 is from the time before Series thinking)
You also claim that the 6150, which is from the time before Series thinking, equals the Series 40 6100 and 7210:
6100
=
6150
=
7210
lol...please don't stop, Krubach. |
