Yes and it is f*###!ing annoying. On Saturday I had to ring my service provider for a PUK (unlock) number because not only had it turned itself off, but also back on again AND managed to enter a PIN number incorrectly 3 times thus locking me out of my phone.
Fair play to Orange UK. Sorted the problem in about 2 1/2 mins, 2 of which were spent navigating the customer service phone system! |

mrNoodles and others> You know where I stand on this issue...
I AGREE: This is a bug. The phone should not do this in a key-lock mode! PERIOD!
Mr.Paksoi> R2D005 firmware... is this the upgrade comming for the T68m or are you just from some other planet?
ElGato and possible other > I don't know how you managed to get the R2B025 firmware into your phone by Nov. last year. It must be nice 'beta-testing', but I do believe there are a lot of angry T68m users... angry at having to live with all these problems, not releasing this same upgrade for us!
Is worried this may steal attention from the T68i !!! Whatever it is ... they should reconsider!
I'm a patient dude, yet if this upgrade doesn't come soon... I WILL ask for a refund!
Maybe even buy a Nokia (again... and take my money elsewhere)!
Peace!

Firstly, running hardware R1B, and software R1B, and yes holding NO with the lock on shuts the phone off.
Secondly, I agree with you dude, if by week20 no software upgrade with mms, I am returning the phone. This "testing" phase is basically bollox. They said the software is more or less the same as in the T68i, so are you telling me this more or less means we get higher quality control with all this extra testing they are doing on the T68m upgrade, since the T68i with mms has been release for a while already? That I do NOT believe.
Come on , hurry the f**k up!!! |

On my T68m with R1C yes, but you must hold the "no" key very long time.

Ok ok, calm down.
This is a function, not a bug, and it is actually ok to have it. I dont know what you ppl do with your phones, but if this is a problem, the pressure you put on the phones casing can't be good, and you should think about placing it somewhere else.
IF the phone hangs, holding down no for 15+ secs will reset the phone. I have had this phone since december, and it hasn't happened to me once that it has been shut down by accident, and I have it in my pocket a lot as well.
I like being able to reset the phone without taking out the battery, as we all know the battery gets looser on all phones if this is done often.

YES, mine also does the same... very strange.... I have SW version R2B013....
My phone was locked and I pressed the NO button for like 10 or 15 seconds and my phone shut down..
Strange..... but not frustrating or something..

But why should we have to do it often? I mean why should it hang or freeze at all? It was almost an unknown problem a year ago! But we all seems to accept that our phones are full of bugs?!
