I upgraded my s55 myself too, first time i did it it went badly wrong, removed old firmware but didn't install the new firmware! Managed to get it to do it eventually though (phew!). The guy that bought it was still using an s35i in mint condition! I take very good care of my t610. I got it 2nd day of official uk release. Still on original firmware and had no trouble or speaker hiss as many on here have, guess i've been lucky!

Did u download sw from Siemens? how odd! T610 has alot of errors ive noticed!!! was gonna get 1 on upgrade but changed my mind.. I espect the Z600 will be next in line for a slaggin match eventually when every1 gets 1 lol

Yeah it was siemens i hot firmware from. I must be very lucky with my t610 its been great!

it must of bin dodgey sw btw phones4U changed mine the 1st time then I upgraded it myself :) can the SL55 be upgraded online dya know

Yes it can, latest firmware is version9. I think all siemens future phones will bf upgradeable in this way. Lets hope other manufacturers follow in siemens footsteps.

SE have decided to bring out DIY upgrading... I wonder if Nokia will go that far too 
whats your overall opinium of the SL55? any good
the price is dropping and I think it will become 0.00 by Feb may pick it up but im not sure Lol
