Those chargers were recalled. I dunno about you but I have not yet heard of Nokia recalling their products because the batterries are potentially dangerous.

Well, it could be quite difficult to recall products that they don't produce, ie. pirate batteries. All the exploded batteries have been pirates so far, including the one exploded in Norway. |

What make you think that someone is buying a pirate battery on a 3 month old phone. |

Nokia have poor phones with little functionality, lacking BT and IR not working with pics, sounds etc. Only their Symbian phones have these functions but are UGLY with very clumsy menus. They have poor quality loudspeakers too, P800 & P900 much clearer sound quality for MP3/WAVs etc.
Also most Nokia phones are exactly the same just with a different cover.
SE are much better quality & better looking |

Incorrect my dear Watson.
Out of the latetst incidents (2 in NL, 1 in USA and 1 in Vietnam) that I have heard of, ALL FOUR had the ORIGINAL BATTERY that was supplied with the phone by an official retailer.
And there were TWO exploded in Norway, one with a 3rd party battery AND one with an original battery.
All I'm saying is, Nokia as a company is showing a sickening ruthlessness. They obviously rate sales and $$$$$$ a lot higher than the wellbeing of theri customers. So far (as far as i know anyway) two people have been injured by those phones exploding coz they had them in the pockets in ther trousers. One of these ppl was a child.
Now from where I stand, that is two ppl TOO MANY
I understand that a recall is close to impossible considering the volumes that have been sold. But refusing to even investigate why their own bloody products blow up, that is just cold.
Maybe somebody will need to die first eh (phone against your ear, talking to your friend and BOOM!) before Nokia will be forced to act? Not that I think that will ever happen (someone dieing) however you can get injured. And I for one do not need s scorched ear, do you?

Some experts in belgium whas testing nokias batteries, and they figured out that the reason why nokias battery is exploding is that the bateries on a series called nokia BMC-3, BML-3 and BLC-2 have no fuse and therfor the battery will get hot and blow upp when you got a short-circuit.
Nokia BMC-3, BML-3 and BLC-2 is found in
3210
3310
3330
3510
3510i
5510
6650
6800
If you got one of the phones on the list check the battery.
They also tested the other mobile phone manufactors
samsung, , Moto and siemens. they all have a fuse in all their batteries.
