hi guys an' gals!
ive often seen topics on this page about firmware upgrades,
but what do i have to do to update my SE t610?
is it a downloadable file that can be sent via bluetooth?
or do i have to take my phone to a service center?
is this free?
how can i find out where i can have my firmware updated??

sorry about all the stupid questions but i havent got a clue about upgrading firmware!
thanks in advance!! [addsig]

All they have to dial is dial in to EMMA to download the latest. When I got mine done a month ago they only had R3B locally and when I saw that I informed them if the R3C version and they downloaded it right away and gave that to me.

patience? R3C has been out for 6-8 weeks... I think thats long enough for a service centre to get their act together

these guys are either stoopid or plain lazy....i personally think its a combination of both......perhaps due to the high staff turnover rate....in any case, i'm just thankful that the folks at my local service point are a real helpful lot.....to the extend they call to tell us a new version is out.....cheers to them....

The shop is just up the road from Spurs football ground.

Just had mine done today from R1. What extras has this release given me???

no, but the servicepoint doesn't take any responsibility for things you have saved in the phone, so it's always good to do a backup before leaving the phone for upgrading.
